If I can manage it, yes. I've wanted to teach since I was quite young. I think we have a very good program here in Cedar, although I'm not technically in it yet. The teachers I've had so far are amazing.
I've never really thought about where I'd like to go... I know a bit of French, though, so Canada or France are good options. I don't really mind where, though... there are always people to teach, no matter where you go. Exchange programs are quite expensive, but if I get a good job this summer and pay off my student loan, I'll definately think a bit about it. I think mid-twenties is more average in US, yes, but I'm not sure. In Utah, however, the average actually turns out to be 19 for girls, and 21 for the guys... 19 is way too young, in my opinion, but I can see myself married at 21. It's really more encouraged to have a family in my church, which is the predominant religion in the area, and some girls get waay too caught up in it all. It's also encouraged to get as much education as possible, but a lot of girls ignore the advice...
Anyhow, off my tangent... yes, a year /is/ a long time, but I'm really rather shy around boys... so yeah, the trick is totally finding one that I like... and who likes me back.
A pub? Hehe... sounds fun. I like my quiet life in the library... at least, most of the time. Sometimes it gets rather boring, but then... *shrug*
Oooh... snow! Ours is all melting, it's so warm out... has it been a strange winter there, too? Or is it just Utah?

Is it difficult to get into the program? Here in Sweden it is quite easy to become a teacher (nothing near like if you'd like to become a doctor, or a psychologist or a journalist - which are among the most popular) - but I have many friends who want to be teachers. Both here in Upsala and also from the town where I grew up. Do you go studying in a different town from where your family lives? You could also go to many parts of Africa, or even carribbean or certain parts of Asia, too - France had lots of colonies there... :0) I actually have a friend - that girl from London who is going to Ghana, who is going to study the education system there and how it fits into the society. I studied french in high school too - I even got quite good grades, but I can't speak at all, unfortunately :/ (Oh, and I've found this wicked thing -where you can go and work in Saint Lucia, I think (carribbean and count turtles and stuff - it is not too cheap, though, but it would be great. :0) Would it be okay for you to have a boyfriend? I mean, If you wanted to go out with someone before you got married? Or do most people get married first where you live? (It is so interesting, I think. How these things differ - here many, many people just live together and never get married - although they do all the same things as if they were, you know, share economy and raise children - I think in Sweden, the ceremony has less and less importance - although I'd love to get married myself :0) Yep *agrees about the boys thing* I know, that's my problem too.... I'm rather shy around some boys myself - that is, if I like them -I am shy - which sucks, of course :0) If you ask me, I think everyones lives are boring from time to time - I know mine is sometimes too - just if its not too much and too often I think it is okay. I don't know if the pub thing is going to be fun - I hope so I'll tell you if it is - on tuesday I'll go there :0) I think the weather has been strange - I think it is the greenhouse effect catching up! It was really warm a few days ago, now it is cold and it has been snowing lots - which is okay 'cause that's the way winter is supposed to be imho :0) But I would like it to be spring a bit quicker though - I got a potted plant for my birthday from a friend and today I bought another one - so now I have a total of three, hope to bring in some spring feeling :0) - unless I manage to kill them, of course :0) Do you have snow all winter? (I am ashamed I had to check the map to see which state is Utah - I'm crap at geography - I know that you had the olympic games one year -I remember watching photos from Utah on tv but I didn't know you were that far south :0)
