For some uncharacteristic reason, I suddenly decided I wanted to take photos of my two recent Drawing II projects and share them with you guys. The first one's assignment involved creating our own tromploy (a technique that tricks the viewer's eye). Since I was low on ideas and time, I decided to simply make the fabric extend past the drawing's boundaries, hopefully making it look like it's coming out of the drawing itself and into reality. The second image was just an in class still life drawing. Heh, if there's a horse in the still life I always plant myself in front of it. Please forgive the mid-gray value of the photos, it was the best I could do in 5 minutes without losing some of the lighter pencil values. Of course they look better in real life. Actual sizes: 30" x 22" I'm turning them in tomorrow for grades, but critiques are still welcome as I'll need them again for portfolio review at the end of this semester.
