You know what really makes me mad?! Is the fact that people can acctually draw that good! I mean, if I tried to draw that cute little baby, it would turn out looking like a box with stick feet! If I could draw that good, I would be drawing every day of my life!! Grr... *gets piece of paper and tries to draw and fails* Oh well.. some people just have all the luck ;D ...I'm sorry? |

people don't always start off as incredible artists. some have a flair for it, but most of the time it takes years of practice to become really good. drawing isn't really a natural talent from the beginning. a friend of mine can draw amazingly well, but when we were younger she drew like i do now. \D; the difference is practice -- she did, and i didn't. so, that's basically where the talent starts. if you want to do something, just keep trying, and also set realistic goals for your artistic talent. if you expect too much too soon, you'll never get anywhere. down from soap-box.  ; |

i'm glad you're not too discouraged.. i guess what you're thinking is there are a lot of people who don't like your style? i always felt like: "wow, that's skysong's art. it's awesome and at the same time, very unique." people with unique styles of art get a lot of bad feedback, i think, because it's just something different. like with other things, we all have different tastes. i'm surprised that anyone would actually dislike your art, but at the same time i'm not, because of this reason. a good example, i suppose, would be arby's art. it's got a very different style, but i still like it. lots of people don't, but hey who cares. XD if people dislike an artist's style, then there's not much the artist can do to please them. 9_9 anyways, i've got more i could say about how much i like your art and style, but i don't want to sound like a fangirl. ^^; i guess a good rule of thumb to consider whenever you get criticism is that for everyone person who dislikes it, there is one who likes it. as you improve increasingly over the years, the numbers that dislike it will thin out, i think. :3 and getting back to din. XD i think he looks like alien with those eyes of his. X3 plays into his story well. i have a question about him.. since he and alyx are emotionally connected, is there anything pern-like going on with that..? like, if din gets moodswings, will alyx's mood reflect them as well? |

Alright... I think people are just distracted hon. Your crits are amazing.
If I had it to spare (stupid bills) I'd give you very real money for your art. If not the crits, then for comissions and the like.
