((Never fear the Noble Jester is here. Had a family get together. Now let's see what my little warrior fairy can do!))
The Lesser fairy stoped hearing a comotion and it sounded like troulbe. It could be goblins...or not. She thought quickly flew upwards to the cave's roof. Since very few people looked up so she felt it was a good spot to hide. Unless they see my light. The fairy grimanced but stood her ground (or air) reaching for her dartgun just in case.
Firia smelt them before they arrived, but that didn't really make anything better. Darkens. Scenting blood, they were drawn like flies to honey. Even the most daring man quaked at their approach.
Moving quickly, Elara and Firia carrying the Unisus between them ducked into a tunnel and the shadow werecat found them a ledge to start climbing. They climbed slowly, easing their companion of chance up and over every outcropping in the rock.
Before more than a moment or two had passed however, they heard the screams of the men in the camp as the blind darkens swarmed in the dark, their beastlike howls reverberating in the tunnels.
Locating a narrow path higher than their previous route, they paused to reconoiter. Elara morphed to her human form, her tail twitching with impatience. "We're not far from the darken hive-that much I know",the echoes of Darkens raiding the camp could be heard," but our destination is much lower than this..." "Then shouldn't we be going down aunt?" "No, the darken can't fly and they aren't very good climbers. We're safer up here till that Unisus wakes up." No sooner did the werecat say this then a twisted, minotaur like creature wriggled over the rim of their perch. It bared it's long, gleaming tusks and rushed the two werecats, eyes glowing pale yellow.
At that the younge girl started and transformed into a black unisus again. Her silver main and white wings andf golden horn lit the cavern with a radent light. But it soon fadded. The unisus stopped her hovvee on the vial she had had which made it break and she began liquing it up. The light retured as she amed her glinting horn at the beast, "Who ever you are run. I'll cacth up. I can hadel one." but as she said that several more appeared.
"If the word didn't suck, we' all fall off."-Unknown person.
With a leap, Firia sent the closest Darken careening off the ledge, shooting it in midair with a dose of flame. "The less blood the better.", she muttered to the Unisus,"It attracts them."
Elara nodded, jumping after a large, graying darken whose blind eyes shone green. Firia, roasting a small Darken who had just popped over the egde, kicked it off, leaving a slimy trail of thick Darken blood. Rolling her eyes in self admonishment, she rand to help her aunt tackle the largest to appear so far. They knocked the beast unconscious, heaving it over into the darkness and turned to find their companion...
Hearing more cries Moonsong the fairy decided she had enough of hiding and go see what was going. Flying down from the ceiling the Lesser beagn fly at full speed twords the noise. Her dartgun loaded and ready.
No doupt theres a battle going on I won't stay here when somebody may need my help! Moonsong thought her fairy light glowing brighter making her look like a strange ball of blue light and almost covering up her body.
Elara and Firia had just knocked another bellowing darken off their ledge when the blinding blue light reached them. Tail to tail, they stood waiting for the next attack. Both were panting hard and almost didn't catch the next opponent in time. As it was, his tusk skinned the older werecat's shoulder badly before she and Firia brought him down. Casting a small, green bubble about her group, Elara drew the two companions aside. "We can't battle the whole hive alone! There must be some way to avoid any more of them." Firia was, for once in her life, silent.
Elara looked startled, "With what?" Glancing at her shoulder, she winced too. "I see your point..." Trailing off she glanced up as the fairy approached. Firia was staring too. "You know her?", she asked the unisus, whiskers twitching.
