The strip of cloth she had wrapped her thigh in had quickly blossomed red with blood. She grimaced, leaning heavily on the remains of a crumbling wall.
Brilliant... she thought, irked. The wound was slowing her down more than she was comfortable with.
She slowed into a halt, putting her back against the wall and sliding down to rest on her knees. Gray eyes looked up at an equally stormy sky, narrowed with annoyance as a quiet curse sprung from her lips.
