Oooh, I like your new sig pic.
The Lion King brings you right into the musical like nothing I've ever seen before, and will be hard pressed to find again in the future. And though you see the people inside the costumes, it was way more convincing than if they tried to cover the actors up.
The Claude Rains version....is that the one with the blue mask? I've got all the versions mixed up in my head. I even have one taped off the TV from a French channel (though the original was english).

Thanks. I made it meself. *puffs up* The mix of costume and people was so neat! I thought it was really ingenius. I can't remember if I'm repeating myself. XD The Claud Rains version has him in a blue mask...I think. His face is deformed by acid and he's killed by a wall caving in. Then there's the Charles Dance miniseries which I've never seen but I can't remember what color mask he has though I know it's the half mask similar to the movie I saw. And I did finally see the Robert Englund version. It was twisted. Not so much scary as just plain gross. Definitely not anything like the Erik I've come to visualize. I did like his version of Don Juan Triumphant. While it was hardly the work of a musical genius it was interesting and kind of pretty in its own way.
