Whee, art questions ^_^ Okay, here goes.
I use Laurentian pencil crayons, which are a fairly cheap kind I get at the drugstore (cost about the same as Crayola). I do have Prismacolors somewhere, but I don't know where they are and I've never really used them >_> For outlining I use a Pilot fineliner.
My paper is the cheapest stuff that Future Shop sells XD I don't know why, it's just the paper that I feel most comfortable using. Can't remember the weight of it, but it's fairly bright white.
Inspiration.. I have no idea >_> Random things can inspire me - a song, something on TV, a random thought I had on the bus.. there's really not just one thing that inspires me. I do always have to have some kind of 'noise' on when I'm drawing, though - either music or something on the TV.
When I'm stuck on colors, I either roll a dice or ask someone who's near me XD Example:
"Hey, Rick?"
"What?"
"Give me a color."
"Uh... blue?"
"Okay, thanks."
Pause for a couple seconds.
"Hey Rick, give me another color."
"Uh... black. And you're asking me this why..?"
"I'll show you when it's done. Now shush."

Let's see...
I use normal computer paper for most stuff, but commissions I put on card-stock weight white paper. When I'm hand coloring I use prismacolor pencils, and I use Photoshop when I'm computer coloring.
I don't have a lot of opportunity to do totally random colorings or body types, since most of what I do is either determined genetically or people give me descriptions of what they want. I did that on purpose, because I'd very quickly run out of ideas if it was just my own head trying to come up with things. ^^ As far as poses go, I often use the name as inspiration, or sometimes I'll pose it to make it easier to color. Every once in awhile I'll go find a horse picture to refrence a pose from. And sometimes, its legs & such just have to go where there's space on the paper. ^^

depends on what i'm doing 'real media,' i either use markers or mixed media [acrylics, collage, etc]. i like to use brush pens as well. i just draw in some nice quality sketchbooks that i pick up at the art store. or i'll paint on masonite. sometimes i colour stuff up in photoshop because it's quick and easy and i have a lot more colour flexiblity. i really like trying new things though

I use Crayola and Prismacolor pencils primarily for handcoloring, though I've tried Prisma markers and they're fun. <3 For computer coloration, I'm still sticking with my Paint Shop Pro 7.0, even though I have a copy of 8... scared of new things, sorta. Usually I use plain ol' computer paper, but when I'm doing commissions it's Bristol cardstock... can't remember offhand the weight. Inspiration for me comes from searching online art galleries, listening to music, and sometimes dreams and stuff like that... *shruggle*

I like to use Crayola and Rose Art pencils for the base color then shade with my Prisma pencils, then I blend them with a prisma color belender. As for CG coloring I stick to Photo Shop 7, but I do have a bunch of other programs that need to be played with. The paper weight will probully only make true sence to me cause I learned all about it in school but I use stuff from work. It's mostly the stuff they use to place the ink knife down on. (Some times I get like freaking 110# card stock. I steal it chop it up and glue it together) Other wise I tend to use anywhere from 60-70# bond
Insperation wise, umm conversations, things other people draw, dreams, TV lots of songs. Coloration, what ever inspires me at the time I guess

For my digital works I sketch out the picture first on any paper (notebook, computer, sketchpad, anything works fine) and then I either ink my drawing using my $16 .25 mm Rapidoliner pen (I <3 Rapidoliners) or ink in Adobe with my Wacom Intuos 6x7 tablet and a 2-4 px brush. For my stormwulves I use my rapidoliner since it takes less time and it still looks good, and I use digital inking for all my digital artwork besides my adoptions. For traditional works I use both prismacolors and roseart or crayola pencils, and I sometimes use copic or prisma markers, or sometimes both.

*scribble!*
Prismas with the colorless blender for smoothness on ... Some spiral bound "Sketch" weight paper. I taped over the cover, so I have no idea what the brand was or anything. I outline in Sharpies, since they're cheap and dark. I'm sick of pens that look black to the eye, but scan grey or blue. On a few occasions I've used watercolors or Prisma Markers as a base color and pencil for the details.
For digital art - pretty much all Photoshop. (And my camera. *luff*)
I ask people to inspire me, since I have a bland, repetitive imagination. I also go to photography and professional artist's websites for layouts, colors, and ideas. Or I just pull colored pencils out of my box and work with it.

I start with a mechanical pencil (since I don't have to sharpen it) then outline with a "uni-ball Vision micro waterproof/fade-proof" in black. I try to get the smallest I can, think this one is a .5 or something, I don't remember really.
From here I either scan the outline for computer use, in which case I use PSP 8 for most things, Adobe 7.0 for a few, or I go to the coloring step/
I use "Pentel Color Pen" markers for base color in shadowed areas (hope to one day get prisma color markers. Then I use my Prisma color pencils and a colorless blender. The trick is to start very light and use Lots of layers rather than just slapping on one really thick and bright coat.
