-hums- How much is Dreamweaver and what exactly does it do? I'm tired of coding my html by hand. (and Lissa Explains is the best ever) It is a program that lets you either code it manually, or you can just place the stuff within in a screen and it puts it in HTML for you. It works alot like the Geocities page builder, but with more options, and it codes it all for you. I'm not sure how much it costs though.

<a href="ht tp://www.freewebs.com/stormelle/salerules.html"> You used two single quotes (') instead of a double quote (") - Hold the shift key and press , on your keyboard to get a double quote. That, too.. lol *chuckle* Now, if only my final tomorrow was in HTML, not in C. <br> and <font> and <a> are all much nicer than loops and functions and blergh. (Oh, and, I don't know how much it matters, but you can type out raw HTML on the Orchard and it'll show up with the <>'s and all... Proboards doesn't permit HTML, at least all the ones I've tried haven't worked.)

I don't remember the code either, but I know that typing this:
< will create < ...and > will create >
...Very useful to get around the glitch in LJ comments that doesn't allow for <3.

The bottom of every page has it spelled "Noulauq"
Also, the background makes it really, really hard to read the text. Plain backgrounds aren't that bad, yah know...

Well... It's still hard to read. I dunno. I guess I just have a preference for solid-color backgrounds. *shrug*

Selena: It's not all that hard once you get used to it.
I bought myself a 20$ 'visual html' book and read it, and using that and Lissa Explains I taught myself. I don't think I ever really used a pagebuilder. HTMl is fun.

I used Geocities before they had Pagebuilder, so I really had no choice. I remember when Geocities first came out, even. Man, I wish I could remember the name of my first host. *ponder* That one's going to bug me now. Ah, anyway... I just looked at other people's code to try and figure out what to do with mine. If all else failed, I'd strip their code down to the bare bones and put my content into the spaces. ...I've got a few really, really, really old (and, eh, well, old) backgrounds that anyone's free to use, if they want to. They aren't that great, though. Here. Those were ones that didn't make me cringe and whimper under my desk for more than 5 minutes.

I found the pagebuilders anoying and very limiting, HTML helped alot. DW rocks though, because you can work on both the HTML and the visual, and it is in no way limiting.

I just work with simple html codes..like <br> <body background=" "> <font color="color "></font color> <center></center> <img alt src=" "> a href=" ">name site</a>
those are like the only html codes I work with XD its fast simple and easy I try not to mess with all the weird codes, if I do I cheat by using freewebs, and getting the html code set up thereXD.....
but yeah those few codes do a heck of a lot for me>.> then the code for tables I just use the Lissa html thingy^^;; o.O....
