Nodding silently, he glanced up through his shaken mane and grinned shyly at Pateina. Shuffling a huge forehoof, he knocks a few small pebbles into the rushing brook.
Flicking his scarlet tassle, he leapt lightly across the small stream and nudged slightly at Pateina in a teasing manner.
" Well, now that you've cooled off, shall we go again? Maybe we could go visit Ethen?"

Thinkng of a wild imitation of Pateina with both a pink mane and cloud markings, made Havalash grin at the picture of a cute little impish niyeva filly. Shaking his head in amusement, he allowed his scarlet horn to dip once more to the meandering waters, muzzle hairs coming up wet and dripping. Tossing them with a flick of his dial, he wonders if he should ask and then dares....
" Of her father....were you two...Paired?"
He found himself anxious to her answer, finding he had grown affectionate of this teasing Pateina who obviously was a good mother...

Not expecting such a short race, Havalash finds himself almost barrelling into Pateina. Splaying his wings in an arc behind him, he thrust his forehooves to ground, swerving precisely around Pateine. One leap over the stream so as not to muddy the water, and he cavorted about to face her over the stream.
Sides slightly heaving and a sheen of sweat shingin on his dappled pelt, he paced slightly along the bank, allowing himself to cool. Finally, with a grateful sigh, he allowed his muzzle to dip towards the burbling water, taking deep brafts of the cooling water.
Raising his head at the mention of her daughter, a kind smile traced his features as he looked at her intently. " Tell me more of your daughter, please Pateina?"

Glancing at her intently, Havalash almost thought he caught a trace of blush along Pateina's cheeks and he wondered if his comment had offended her i any manner. Just as he was to make an apology for his rude manners, she shot off with barely a warning.
Spinning on heavy aft limbs, his forelegs stepped against the air, wings spreading behind him in splayed magnificence. Then, his fore hooves landed against the ground, hind quarters bunching as he lurched forward, red tipped wings clipping to his dappled sides as he chased after the belladonna.

Grimacing slightly, he backed away a step, eyes squinted slightly as he looked at Pateina through the blur of flying droplets. Once she had done with her play, he offered a charmed smile and took a quick trot about her form, listening as she offered her name and requested his. Slowing to a stately walk, he halted at her head and dipped in customary introduction as he announced his name...
" Havalash is all I need to reveal Lady Pateina....You must be a wild-born Paint, only splendid markings as yours could be produced as such."
Slowly he leaned forward slightly to touch his muzzle against the star at her forehead, nuzzling at her spiraled horn before stepping back again. Looking towards the sky once again, he glanced back towards Pateina with a conspiratorial grin...
" Pateina, I know we've both dryed enough, but would you kindly join me for a run?"

Glancing over to the stunning mare, Havalash caught his breath in appreciation of her strong, but refined lines, taking in her stunning colors that made his eyes widen. He glanced aside, preening his feathers more voraciously, wanting to make a good impression on this stunning mare. Perked auds caught the hummed tune of her serenade and he was even further enchanted.
Gathering a steadying breath, he slowly wandered over to the mare, dipping his head and foreleg in greeting as he splayed a vast wing over her head to provide further sheild. He nickered softly in a polite greeting, yet didn't yet speak, merely listened to her tune for a time...

Thunder crackles across the sky, lighting following close in it's wake, patterning the gray sky with etching fingers of vibrant electricity. Winds pluck at the trees, swaying sturdy limbs with malicious intent while a stinging rain slants with the wind. Into this dramatic setting plods the drenched Havalash, dappled grey coat darkened to match the somber hues of sky, vibrant red plume and tassle slickened to his sturdy neck. Bobbing along at a steady pace, he moves through the storm with little cares, stopping to pluck at a single clover every now and then. Heavily feathered hooves lift easily and settle almost delicately against the groud as he makes his way forward, not minding the mud clinging to his once clean feathers. Stopping beneath a benevolent ash, he raises his scarlet horn to the skies, simply relishing the ferocity of wind and weather. Turning away from his reverie, he splays his wings and begins to preen.... www.geocities.com/spacy_chick66416/pai4.html

Zuyzi nods at the frank wit and intellect of Kenenia, wishing he had such charm to impress the lovely mare known as Celi. Swallowing down a tinge of jealousy towards Mect and kenenia, his gaze turned to Fra'Keleb. Warily, he shifted towards the nonchalant steed, alert and aware of any move taken by the sahib. Finally coming within range of the behemoth, he dipped his gaze respectfully in greeting...
" A lovely day is it not, Sir Fra'Keleb? Decide to make an appearance for the ladies it seems....or do I presume to easily?"
Meanwhile, Mect was once again cool and calm in demeanor and stature. His hooves rested lightly agaisnt the ground and his pate dipped ever so slightly, ears laid back casually to create an appearance of almost a lazy interest as his cool green gaze still focused 'pon Adianen'kik.
He too envied Kenenia his savy words, wishing he had been able to wheddle into the buckskin's attentions but it seemed a dismal hope at best. Slowly his gaze drifted over his shoulder, keeping an eye out for Zuyzi, making sure he was behaving as best he might.

At first confused at Adianen'kik's silence, he then almost blushed with embarrassment at his agregious mistake. Slowly sidling away, he apologized profusely, at the end realizing that no offense had been taken either way.
Stepping back towards the pair, his features were polite and amiable as he once again made his approach.
" Terribly sorry for my error Miss Kabiy'celi, call me Mect please if you will...and you too Miss Adianen'kik if you so wish. "
Turning his attention to Kabiy'celi, he dipped his crest apologetically, looking rather sheepish and nervous.
" Well, would Miss Adianen'kik be willing to communicate with me in other ways? We are all here to meet others, and Zuyzi is otherwise occupied with wtaching those two stallions..." He looked to his companion ho was still apprehensively watching the two steeds, glancing towards Miss Kabiy'celi with a rakish grin of interest...

Auds pricked to catch the greetings of Kenenia, and then to hear the names of the two mares. Formality still in place, he knew he should now announce his name as well. Opening his maw to utter his name, his gaze caught at a steed of aureate and ivory, such as himself. Pausing, he turned to his fellow companion and nodded slightly, they were both steeds under the caring of Arriaki.
The new stallion allowed his calm gaze to survey the tense situation, measuring up the two strange stallions. Pacing closer to his companion, he nudged his companion knowingly, nipping gently at his shoulder in gentle play. " Quite a tense little crowd....I suppose your main focus were the ladies?"
Chuckling low in his throat,Zuyzi'biir dipped his head to nuzzle at Ainne, being he was shorter in stature then himself.
" Well that is the main reason of me being a showy steed, but then these two showed up...I'm wary of the one known as Fra'Keleb....."
Shaking his concern off, Ainne circled to the other side of his companion and looked closer at the two stallions. Quirking an eyebrow, he raised his pate, leveling the gaze of the larger crystals with his steady gaze.
" Greetings to you sirs, Fra'Keleb and Kenenia...and to you ladies, Kabiy'celi and Adianen'kik. We are Zuyzi'biir and Ainne'mectine'sunimect. Now, may we conversate?"
With that, he gave Zuyzi a nudge as he loped quietly over to the buckskin mare. Nodding cordially to Kabiy'celi, he then turned his attention to Adianen'kik. Dipping formally, he stepped closer, green eyes meeting hers with a sparkle of interest.... "Adianen'kik? May I have the honor of speaking with you?"

Turning his golden pate, the stallion viewed the encroaching steeds for a few moments. Ears perked at attention, his graceful bough raises up, neck craning to view the pair better. Cobalt gaze focusing on them, he felt almost threatened by the direct gaze of the one strewn with flames.
Instead, he made his way to the one of serene ebony, finding companionable silence with the one of quiet dignity. Knowing not all crystals were amiable, he halted askance of the pair, tilting his pate to view the pair from under a veil of ivory.
Glancing at one then the other, he allowed a soft whicker to waft from his nares, trying to gauge the emotions of the pair of them. If they were to be violent, he had best make a hasty retreat, despite the promise of females. He knew himself to be too young to take on these elder, mature stallions.

A trumpet resounding through the wend of trees as thundering hooves announce the presence of another crystal. Hooves throwing up clouds of dust, the steed whisked past the companionable mares with a buging whinny. Raising high on his haunches, fore hooves paw low above the ground as he makes another pass around the two mares. Now whickering politely, he approaches carefully, head dipped respectfully, ebon tassels concealing his rakish features. Cobalt gaze taking in the two crystal mares, he lifted a hoof in a showy manner, tossing his plume to the side as he made his polite greeting. www.geocities.com/spacy_chick66416/crys2

Dow watches for a time, plumed hooves lifting every so often as her dial bobs in tune with the drifting lullaby. After listening to if for a time, she starts to whisper the tune in her own lilting vocice. Her dark brown eyes were filled with warmth at the adorable sight of the quartet. Hoping she wouldn't be rejected, she settled to the soft grasses as well, high neck arching over the tall grasses.
Idalina returned to the group, trotting very primly, neck held stiff to his chest and his eyes staring straight forward. He made towards Dow first and made his quiet apologies with a gentle nuzzle. He stayed there for a long time, bent down to cath Dow's quiet reply in his ear. His mane fell over the both of them, creating a curtain of privacy for them to conversate. Whne Idalina withdrew, Dow was flushed with a becoming blush that suited her well. She stared after his retreating form for a time then nestled down in the grasses.
Idalina approached his mother and the congregated group and stopped at the outlet of the circle. He cleared his throat and made eye contact with every single one of them gathered. He dipped hs head in apology but didn't vocalize it in any way. He hesitated before Don, but managed to dip low to the earth in a sign of recognition that must have given his ego a twinge.
He then retreated from the group, giving the silent message he would return only when they deemed it appropriate for him to do so. He respected their rejection with a majestic silence that did nothing to belittle his stature.

Dow and Don watch Pateina with a somber air of regret. Dow almost took to the skies in pursuit, worried over the wearisome mare....but she realized it was none of her buisness. Instead she offered a cry of farewell, Leui uttering a brassy bugle beside her. Don merely watched silently, placid as ever.
(blergh...NOT a good RPing day)
