I have too lazy to get up days... so I like work for that. Makes me actually get up and then I do stuff.

Heh... sometimes I do, but not always...
I actually know some people who need like 12 hours to feel okay... so I know some people need sleep.
Rhetorical question. ~_^

Psht! Who needs sleep. But, yeah, 50 is no typo. ;D They're only about thumb-sized, so it's not like it takes an enormous amount of time...

Hey! *pokes people* The Festival is coming! Next Monday, the 26th. ;D This is a little fore-warning so you can work on a "fanart" entry, if you're going to do that category (you should, pretty prizes!) Object is to draw your own version of a Ja'alek. *nodnods* There will also be a coloring competition, maze, draws every day, and other activities. It'll run from the 26th through the 31st, with the Grand Prize drawing(s) on August 1st. There'll be approximately 50 Ja'alek given out, so be sure to attend. Prizes that aren't even mentioned anywhere'll be given out. It'll be fun! PS: In case you don't remember what Ja'alek are: www.angelfire.com/mt/Savanna/images/ja_page.jpg (actual Ja'alek who will go out there ~_^)

Meh Hydra needs some help... visit meh page and cheer her on, please? (visiting the page a creature is on while it's battling is considered positive help/cheering it on... I dunno why the site runner figured that in, but it does help) www.angelfire.com/mn/Cyntherpoetry/Also, clicking on her will let you see Reality's End, which has the interesting section of "Battling Dragons"... Cabezan (a play on the Spanish "Cabeza" - head) is a Hydra from there. *nodnods* And Hepatie, the monocerous that she's battling, is also from there, of course... they have other creatures as well. (not that anyone around here needs _more_ addictions lol )

These just sorta ended up happening when I was playing with PSP, and I wasn't sure what to do with them... and then, I figured people might like to have them. ^_^ So, free to good homes... Work has caused me to do two more things, two random unicorns and a Mini B. I'm not adopting out the Unicorns, they were both put into scenes. The Mini B, however, needs a home now. (Mini B homepage is here: www.geocities.com/cynther/bmmain.html)IMAGE: www.angelfire.com/mt/Savanna/chibiB.gifToo lazy to FTP right now. >.> So you guys'll have to open a new window and copy-paste the URL if you'd like to see. To Apply:Name: Email: Name for Mini B: -------------EDIT---------------------------------------------------- This's closed.... And I sent out Mini B to all who entered. Whee!

*fluffles Sarnah-nah* Closed! *goes to randomizer* 8 people, eh? ----EDIT-------------------------------------------------------------- Also, because I can--Luminaire, Saturnalia, Sera-- for giving contest ideas, I'll allow you, when the festival comes around, to enter an extra chance into a random draw of your choice. ^_^

. . . Heh. Just playing around there. Thought it'd be an interesting title for a thread. Anyways! I want to get more interest going for the Ja'alek, so I thought I'd scan and color the one I just drew at work (yes, that means current count to be given away this summer is 51... this isn't one of the others. >.< ) <== Smoane [Smokey Mane]This is a computer colored ja'alek, which believe me, happens VERY VERY rarely (partly, because it narrows the ja/dra difference; partly because I hate doing manes on the comp XD). Anyways... Random draw! From now until I get on the computer after my second shift tomorrow... aka about 1:30 Central Standard Time. To enter:Name: Email: Like the idea of a Ja' Festival?: (contest ideas welcome also ^_^) --------------EDIT---------------------------------------------------- Okay, I'm gonna give people a number, 1-20, using randomizer. This way it does a bit of a check on people who arrived first and is more of a random draw, I think. ~_^ *opens randomizer* Okay. Now, for a random set of numbers 1-20. I'll go with whoever's number comes up first... *checks first number* Nope, not one of the numbers used. *checks second number* Well! Skysong, 13 is your lucky number, apparently.... I'll get to emailing her to you right away. I also have your old ja, who I s'pose could be sent, too... she was one of the very first adopted out, I remember. We did a ja-sam trade. ^_^

you doodle yours at work Cynther? Sometimes. Depends on what I'm doing at work. When I'm "checker" I'm standing at a stand, taking money and whatnot, more or less a cashier... then I often doodle at work. When I'm "student manager" I'm running around doing pretty much anything and everything and have no such time. >.> I agree fully with Skysong, btw. It takes just a few seconds with pretty much any program to resize images. ^_^ And I think its worth the results also.

Indeed, making images transparent after you scan them large and shrink them equals a pain in everyone's buttocks. But if you're using .jpg, you don't have to worry about that... just cleaning up any icky dark spots around the creature.
