Briin'ken shook her head in wonder at Garnet's sudden mood swing. Glad that her friend was happy and eager to go again, she walked alongside the cat. She stretched her wings and peered down the pathway again.

"Yeah, remember what happened when we went straight last time?" she chuckled, turning to her friend. She stopped though, sensing that Garnet was sad. Briin'ken's tail drooped when she realized that she had mentioned Zelda without thinking. She padded over to her friend and gently draped a paw over her shoulder.
"I'm sorry Garnet.." she said softly, "but she'll be ok, you'll see."
She hoped to console her friend. Briin'ken patted the cat on the back and then she took a couple steps towards the left path, hoping Garnet felt a little bit better.

The wolf looked down each path but, seeing nothing, turned to Garnet. She sniffed the hedges, checking for Zelda's scent. Briin'ken detected a strange, new odor, but didn't think too much of it. She'd hoped to find Zelda's smell since they were close to the end of the maze.
"Hmm, I can't smell her..," she said dejectedly.

"Yes!" Briin'ken exclaimed, covering Garnet's paw with her own.
"So I guess this means we go.. um, which way do we go again?"

Briin'ken nodded in agreement. She raised her front right paw to play again. She thought ahead this time, planning to use paper against her friend. The wolf grinned slyly, feeling confident.

After a few more seconds, Briin'ken became restless and leapt to her feet. She shook herself, as if she were getting rid of water. The wolf grinned at Garnet and playfully ran in a few circles around her.
"Feeling much better, Garnet! We can go now," she said, feeling a little giddy from the adrenaline rush she had just had.

The wolf glared around, looking for anything that might threaten her or her friends. Though she was a little frightened, she put on a brave face to reassure her comrades.
((Hehe, how do you like my use of the word comrades? These are mad language skillz, wot? Lol, sorry, I've been reading these books lately.. ^_^))

Briin'ken realized she couldn't make scizzors easily, so she did what came first to her mind. She curled her paw into a fist shape as best she could and stuck it out.
"Rock," she grinned, then caught sight of Garnet's rock fist as well. She laughed and lowered her paw.
"Well, great minds think alike, as I alw-er.. sometimes say!"

Briin'ken 'd at the stranger who transformed. Then she turned to Garnet and Adrian. "Aw, c'mon Garnet! We can all take care of ourselves, we're big and stron- um.." she glanced at Garnet's size, and continued, unnerved, "Well, you can stick with me, I'll protect you. But otherwise, everyone should be fine. Maybe Charon's book will provide us a glimpse of each other or something?" ((^_^ couldn't resist- did I use 'unnerved' right?)) "But, if it really bothers you, we can stick together," she replied. "No worries, any direction is fine with me!"

"Oh really," Briin'ken said, sticking her tongue out at Garnet as well, "I'd like to see you try.."
She grinned teasingly and trotted briskly after Adrian, looking back to make sure that the others were coming.

When Briin'ken saw Garnet fall over, she laughed. In fact, she laughed so hard that she herself fell over on the ground, which made her laugh even harder. Soon though, the wolf got control of herself. She stood up, trying to look dignified. "In answer to your question, Garnet," she responded, stifling a grin, "well, I think you just tell it to do something. I was just like, 'some wind please,' and it worked. Wala!" ((or however you spell wahlah, wala, Walah, whatever ))

Taking the necklace into her teeth, Briin'ken eyed it. She wondered what it was capable of doing.
"A gust of wind, please," she whispered through her teeth.
All of a sudden, a strong blast of air blew past the group, ruffling everyone's fur/hair (whoever has any). The wolf raised her wings to catch the wind and was lifted a couple feet off the ground, then set down again. As quickly as it had started, it was over. Briin'ken peeked sheepishly around, settling her wings on her back again.

Briin'ken gave the necklaces one more inspection and turned to the maze. She trotted briskly far to the left, looking for a way around it. Finding none, she headed far towards the right and again, found no other way. She came back to the beginning of the maze, a bit discouraged.
The wolf sat down near the others and looked at the entrance, wanting to just get through the maze as soon as possible. But she didn't want to rush the others or anything so she just sighed. After a few seconds, she began to watch Stormelle with her necklaces again.

"Well, I'll go look up ahead," Briin'ken replied, unsuspecting. She trotted up a small incline and looked around. Then she disappeared behind a large boulder. Briin'ken began to sniff the ground, in hopes of finding a scent (of Zelda).
