Sliver lashed his tail slightly as he walked. It was strange to see such a little one without a parent in sight, let alone one that seemed so malnourished. But it again, it was not his concern, and he would do his best to forget about it and just enjoy the day.
Though the little colt did remind him of someone.. but he shook his head and tried to banish the though from his head. Nice day. Enjoy. Warm. Those should be his only thoughts for the moment.
It took a minute or so for Sliver to realize that he was being followed. A quick glance over his shoulder confirmed that the foal was still following him. The Lamanayr twitched an ear in irritation and came to a stop - perhaps the foal was just following his path by coincidence, and would continue past him.

With a snort, Sliver turned his head away from the foal and tried to relax his now-tense muscles. To think that a foal could set him off like this! Perhaps he was not as well as he had thought..
Sliver glanced at the foal, taking in its thin ribs and gaunt face, both odd for a foal that should be at the roliest-poliest stage in its life. Odd, but not his concern. With another snort, he backed up a step and then turned from the foal, heading off in search of a new place to bask in the sun. Preferrably a foal-free spot.

It took a moment for that pitiful peep to register. Sliver glared down at the source of the noise, apparently directly before him, still prepared to charge and attack..
..and it was only a foal. A rather pitiful foal, at that, lying in a heap, large black eyes wide and fearful. Sliver froze, confused now. This couldn't be what had attacked him, could it? This little thing?

Something tugging on one of his tufts jerked Sliver unceremoniously from his doze. "An attack!" he shrilled, surging to his feet and tossing his head wildly, in an effort to dislodge his attacker. Whatever it was let go almost immediately, and the Lamanayr arched his back and made a peculiar hissing noise, prepared to deal with his attacker.
Memories of the colosseum flashed through his mind, though Sliver tried to ignore them. His heart pounded as he recalled the battles, the charge and clash of bodies, the sprays of blood and dust and sweat, the sweet taste of an opponent's flesh.. let this opponent come to him! The Lamanayr shrilled a challenge and looked quickly around, seeking the one who attacked him.

Sliver of the Broken Prism sprawled unashamedly upon the grass, his tattered wings lying across the ground on either side of him, front hooves resting lightly on his chest. It was a warm day, at least for winter, and he reveled in the feel of the sunlight against his skin, drawing the ache from the old scars that cris-crossed his frame.
The stallion sighed, lying with eyes half-closed, resisting the urge to scratch at the twin strands of hair that grew from behind his ears. He had been letting it grow again, the rainbow color beginning to show, though the hair was yet unbound. Perhaps one day, but not for a long while yet. It was enough to lie here in the rare winter sun, thinking of nothing, not even of.. her.
(oops, just realized I forgot to upload his image!)

After taking forever to do so, I've finally redone the Samanayr website! www.sushi-dragon.com/sotr/Don't worry about updating your links from shar.sushi-dragon.com/sotr, I'll have an automatic redirect from there. I'm going to be holding breedings soon, and am in the process of collecting Samanayrs and Songs and assigning them IDs. I'd like to hold breedings soon as well.. whoo! That's all taking place at the forum: www.sushi-dragon.com/sotr/forum/

Today is my birthday, and I've decided to celebrate online by holding an Enkeyn draw ^_^ Haven't seen these guys in a while, eh? And I think this may be the first actual draw for an Enkeyn.. This guy is a Mountain-Plains hybrid, and is a rather rougeish, adventurish sort. Looks like he's having some freefalling fun! The actual draw is being held at my adoption forum (well, after I dust off the cobwebs and clear out the moths). You don't have to actually sign up at the forum, since I've turned guest posting on. sushi-dragon.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=81

It's easy to get money out of your PayPal account, as long as you're comfortable giving them your banking information. You give them the information, and they confirm that they have the correct account and everything by making two small deposits into your account. You confirm the deposit amounts on the site, and then you're good to go!
Once you have a bank account connected to your PayPal account, getting money is easy. When you have money in your PayPal account, you just request that it be sent to your bank account, and how much you'd like to deposit. After a few days, there it is!

The City of Shar forum has moved! It is now located at: www.sushi-dragon.com/forum/The new forum is ad-free and hosted on my website, allowing for a good level of customization (as you can, uh, already tell by the little sushi icons). All creature registration will now take place there, as well as any RP, announcements, etc. I'm trying to decide whether I still want to do the adopting stuff - breeding signups, draws, pickups - and all that through LJ, or take it all to the forum. If it did move over to the forum, I would still make announcements in the LJ community, but you would be linked over to the forum to participate. Any thoughts? Oh, and just so there's no confusion, if you already registered a creature at the Proboards forum, you do not have to re-register it at the new one. All the Proboards information is still available to me, and there's no point in making everyone register twice! To kick things off, the forum is hosting a semi-custom Samanayr draw! The draw will be open until tomorrow. www.sushi-dragon.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=11
