I think some of the favorite games that I've participated in have been the color/design your own and riddles. They can be riddles you've made up, or popular ones, like the riddle of the sphinx.

When I made a maze for a contest, the first thing I did was lay it out on graph paper so I could see where all the pages were and where the dead ends would be.
You can also host a hunt on a forum with a map and people "search" squares to see if there's anything there.
I've also done scavenger hunts from the site. Aka the things you list would be things they have to find off of the adoptables site. So "something blue" could be on of the adoptables or even the color of the background of the site. You can get way more specific and cryptic with the items too and make into a riddle first and then they have to find it and bring you a link to the image or page.
There's "Guess the appearance" contests, where who ever guesses closest to the colors of the adoptable you've drawn up wins it.
etc. etc. I'll post some more after work.

are there any naming rules?
Oh, and were do we link them back to? Just the Orchard or do you have a website you'd want people directed to?

Hey, I remember you. Welcome back for the visit. We'd love to see you around here and there, even if you don't have time to page adoptions anymore. I pretty much just lurk here these days. I'm only really active in Gaia adoptions at the moment.

It really sounds like The Last Unicorn meets Legend. I think Sera said there was an animated unicorn Show called Unico. Maybe that's it - I have never watched it, so no clue what happens in it.

prisma sticks pretty well once you lay it down, and they're expensive. I'd go with AR's suggestion of the crayola brand.

I'd suggest the small strips of post it notes then too. They would peel right back off of sheet music unless someone was really wild with them.

I went to log in to Angelfire site today to move some more of my creatures over to my new site. Well Angelfire's apparently deleted my site. I had about 80 pages worth of stuff still to move over, but it's all gone now. If I have adopted a creature from you and you cannot find it at alara.crystalrealms.org/adopted/tome.htmlthen I do not have it anymore and I will need you to resend.

we always had to use standard number 2 pencil in band to mark music. I find that the artist moldable erasers worked the best for me. They're grey in color and you can find them at Michael's.
Mr. Clean Magic Eraser might work too, but you're supposed to get that wet first before you use it, so I don't know.

Thank you all for the support and love you've shown.
My father passed away yesterday afternoon and is now in a better place where he's not suffering. It's both a great loss because is now gone and a relief that he no longer has to go through it all.
