She shivers slightly. "Aye. Today, though, it i quiet... I hear no other wingbeats." She smiles slightly. "How very elusive our kind can sometimes be..." A slight breeze picks up her hair, and she half-closes her eyes until it passes.

An amused glint is apparent in Querryth's eye, particularly when he coughs up a flame-ball.
"I can't say I've ever seen any of the larger spiders," she says. "And I agree... I doubt we'll find any of those here." She looks around. "Haven't seen anything else very large here at all, in fact..."

"Aye," Querryth replies, smiling as he removes the spider. Her smile turns into a bit of a smirk. "It is particularly amusing when one of the wandering travelers in my realm happens to walk into a spiderweb... for some reason, it seems that most humans are quite terrified of them, no matter that they're so much smaller. Before seeing that, I'd never seen a human move quite like that..." She snickers.

She blinks ant looks up, staring at the web and the spider within.
"Ah," she replies, looking back at him as the spider climbs onto one of her horns. "Fascinating creatures, aren't they?" She grins at him. "I'm rather fond of spiders."

She smiles back, then gets a mischevious glint in her eye. Stepping closer to Monerith, she quite suddenly shakes her head and her wings, flinging a considerable amount of water onto the red dragon before she leaps back.
"But without hair or feathers, you can't do that." She grins.

"Ah," she replies softly.
"Eep!" She vanishes back under the water, and uses her momentum to dive to the bottom, making her way towards the edge of the river. Pushing off from the riverbed with all four feet, she breaks the surface again and quickly swims the last bit of distance to the shore, hauling herself out of the water.
"Hrmpf," is her only response as she stands, every inch of her dripping.

If a dragon could blush, Querryth probably would be doing so. And for perhaps the first time, she doesn't need to tell herself not to flinch; while her pulse beats slightly irregularly, she's pretty much relaxed for once.
"May I ask... why out of the dragons you've come across, it is me that you've chosen to take interest in?" Her voice has a genuinely curious intonation.

"Ah. The last time I was swimming, I wasn't yet full grown."
At his question, she turns her gaze to the water, before glancing up at him quickly and looking back down. "At times, I am terrified of you," she says softly. "As for the rest of the time..." she drifts off, bringing her eyes back to his for the moment. "I don't know." Slight confusion edges her voice, and she looks back down at the water.

Querryth, freed, takes a moment to swim around a bit underwater, though her wings hamper too much maneuvering. She comes to the surface near him, shaking her head and flinging drops of water everywhere in the process.
"'Tis been quite a while since I've swam," she remarks.

She squeeks as she's dragged downwards, beating her wings frantically in an attempt to stay above the water, but failing as the weight of drenched feathers only helps to pull her under. She takes a large breath and then, instead of further struggling, attempts to dive down towards the other dragon to try and free herself from his grasp. Once again, her hair gets in her way, and she tries not to lose her air by laughing underwater as she struggles downwards.

She sputters as she gets dunked, blinking at him for a moment, his action having been completely unexpected by her.
"Hey!" she says indignantly, recovering. She lunges (carefully) at him, somehow managing to avoid impaling herself on any spikes, and attempts to shove him under the water before leaping backwards, water flying from her wings and mane. Then, grinning, she smacks a wing at the water and an angle, managing to spray him with a considerable amount of water, though with the loss of a few small down-feathers.
"Hah!"

She relaxes a trifle, unexpectedly greatful for what seemed to be understanding from him, though his words weren't precisely... well, cheerful. "I... can guess," she replies, pushing yet other memories away.
She lifts her heavy wings out of the water, finding them to be completely drenched. As she beats them, she raises herself a bit out of the water, though not much, as the wings are a bit too wet to fly with. After shaking them off, she settles them onto her back. She almost resembles an oversized blue swan with an extra pair of legs and a tail, a thought that amuses her slightly. Don't start turning into your prey, she thinks to herself, following Monerith's gaze up the river.

"Ah," she replies. "Anything of interest in the caves?"
Her pulse jumps as he touches the scars, and in her mind, she pushes away sudden memories of that near-forgotten pain. Even if I were to fly as far away from him as I could, I would not be able to escape the fact that his mark is upon me... Her thoughts reel slightly. But would I ever even want to fly that far?
She gazes back, hoping that fear does not flicker in her eyes, though she wants to look away. Caught in his gaze like a trapped rabbit... could I fly away even if I wanted to?
"Thank you, she replies to his compliment, her voice almost a whisper.

"Aye, likewise," she says, suppressing a small shiver at being caught in his gaze. "Thank you," she adds as he moves her hair out of the way. Don't flinch, she wills herself. Relax...
"Where have your wanderings taken you lately?" she asks, letting her tail keep her from drifting too much. Do I really want to know? she wonders after asking, though slightly amused.

Querryth pauses for a moment as she spots Monerith. A suppressed instinct wells up in her for a moment, urging her to just flee, but she clamps down on that urge. There is no need for irrational fear, she thinks to herself.
As he gaze travels past him and to the water for a moment, another idea comes into her head, one rather uncharacteristic for her. For a few seconds, her thoughts turn to times long past. How long has it been? she wonders, before her gaze and her mind return to the red dragon in front of her.
Hmm. She ponders for just a second more, and then springs into action. Launching herself into the air and flinging her wings open, she sails over Monerith and dives into the river on the other side of him, coming up seconds later, sputtering a bit, mane plastered to her face, obscuring her view and dripping with water.
"Greetings," she says simply, peering at him from underneath the hair as she attempts not to drift with the current.
