As he better wrapped his head around 'Lan's power, Vurrivey grew a bit more comfortable. Every Tsume had their power; hers simply involved something more... lasting? than clouds and wind.
He smiled as she explained her reason for the multiple meetings. "Well, I'm glad to know that you enjoyed them enough to spend time with me again..." he sounded slightly awkward, as he was flattered, and not used to being flattered in that manner. Well, he thought to himself, I guess that's why it feels as though I've met her before... because I have.
"And hopefully," he said, with almost a touch of bashful nervousness, "there will be more meetings in the future? Perhaps with memories of this one?" He stared at the muddy ground, pausing for an extra moment, before taking a little breath. "I don't want to forget you." He contemplated his foot, wondering if he'd sounded like a ninny, and waited for her reply.

He looked a smidge embarassed as she pushed his jaw back into its proper place, but gave a little laugh. "Not entirely sure I'm done gawking," he said, glancing up again, "but I'll continue to gawk with a bit more grace."
He glanced at her hands as she tapped his nose, and blinked. "Time... well. That would explain the sudden change of skies..." He trailed off, lost in thought for a few seconds, then listened as she continued. He looked rather stunned when she said it was the third time they'd met. "The... third time? Wow." He sat silent for a second. "Well, I'm glad that I seem to be improving, then," he responded with a small smile, though a slightly unsettled one. "Though, I'm not sure if I want to know how I behaved the previous two times... or why it came to be the third time around." He looked at her again, with a more settled smile. "You definitely don't come close to any other Tsume I've met."
He looked up at the clouds at her mention of the corona. "Oh, I don't mind the moonlight at all," he replied. "Both day and night have their benefits... and I think I actually prefer night." He continued to stare up at the clouds and sky, taking in the new knowledge.

"Thank you," Vurrivey said, in response to her compliment towards his manipulation abilities. As the sky suddenly changed to night, though, his mouth dropped open and he stared up, eyes wide. It was probably a funny sight, and definitely not a very dignified one.
"How... what... whoa." He continued to stare, eyes taking in the rainbow that still remained. While he'd manipulated storms to a great degree before, he'd never thought it was possible to have a rainbow in the night. I'll have to try that sometime... he thought to himself briefly.
"How did you do that?" he asked, awe in his voice as he turned towards her. "It's amazing." He glanced at her watch, then back to her face, noting how the starlight and moonlight both highlighted and shadowed her, casting a silvery glow around her, especially in the mist from the rain.

Vurrivey smiled at her comments, casting her a rather bashful look when she mentioned that he was pretty to look at. "Well, even if you share the same condition as me, as far as the mud and water go, you're still lovely." He grins. "We probably make quite the pair right now, looking like drowned rats."
He glanced up at the sky. The rain seemed to soothe his soul, whenever he felt it, but he had a feeling that the company was putting him in such a good mood, rather than the weather. A bit uncharacteristically, he thinned the clouds slightly, to allow a bit of sun to shine through, and lessened the rain slightly, to more of a drizzle. A rainbow arched down, reflected from the water droplets and newly-present sunlight.
"Amazing what nature can do," Vurrivey commented, "even with a little manipulation..." he looked at 'Lan for a minute, then looked towards the arc of colored light.

Vurrivey felt oddly happy at seeing her so amused. Strange, he thought to himself. He wasn't quite used to having such a concern over the emotions of others, but this 'Lan seemed to be a Tsume that brought about change. And, well, he didn't really mind that change in himself.
"Yes," he agreed, "I don't think I've been tickled in that long either. It's kinda nice once in a while though, I think... though I probably shouldn't admit that around too many people."
He laughed as the water from her hair hit him, not that he could really get much wetter in the rain. "You've got hair in your face, you know." He stared at her for a few seconds, and then reached out to brush it away from her eyes. "Unless you were purposely trying to block out your view of me?" He grinned. "Hopefully I'm not too horrible to look at, even if I am soaking wet and a bit muddy." He glanced down at her hands. "You could wipe them on my fur if you want, though I guess that would defeat the purpose of cleaning me off in the first place," he said.

Vurrivey gleefully tickled Aimser'lan, feeling more comfortable with her than he would have expected to feel with a 'stranger'. In his mind, he wondered why that was. She was so new and rather intriguing to him, and yet somehow familiar. He hadn't had enough contact with other Tsumes to have gotten any sort of same-species-comfort from them, so it couldn't be that. Nor had he been actively looking for a mate or anything of that sort, so it wasn't that either. Well, unless his biological clock had different ideas than his brain. She was a rather attractive Tsume, after all...
Finally, he let 'Lan go, grinning, and giving her a chance to catch her breath. "Well," I've answered that question," he said, flicking his tail playfully. "I think it's safe to say that we are both very, very ticklish."

"Hehehe," Vurrivey giggled as the last of the mud came off. He smiled, looking awkward for a few seconds at her blush. Females blushing weren't something he was accustomed to. Then again, neither was company that didn't mind the rain. This Tsume was definitely not who he would have expected to come along as he was basking in his rainshower... but he was rather glad that she had come along.
He nodded. "Usually, there's no one else around who bothers to test out whether or not I'm ticklish, and I forget that I am," he said. "Thanks for reminding me!" He paused, tilting his head again to look at her. "And just how ticklish are you?" He grinned, a mischevious glint in his eyes, and pounced at her, reaching out to tickle her sides.

"Well," Vurrivey responded when she commented on his flattery of her, "the flattery is well-deserved!"
When she moved to help him de-mud himself, he blinked, surprised. He hadn't expected the boldness... not that he wanted to complain, though. For an instant, it almost felt natural, as if he'd known her for much longer than this short time, but the feeling passed quickly, as if simply deja-vu of some sort.
Had he not been such a lovely shade of blue, he would have blushed a bit, not having much experience with females (to his memory, at least), but he refrained. However, he couldn't refrain from giggling a bit, and nearly falling over... he was slightly ticklish, apparently. "Thank... heeee, youuu, ehehe," he managed to get out, as the mud made its way out of his fur and back to the ground.

"I suppose it would be useful," he replied to her comment about the watch. He offered a sheepish smile. "I've been accused of losing track of time. Especially when I have specific engagements to attend... and when the weather is as beautiful as it currently is." He winked, knowing full well that few would find his thunderstorm so pretty. "And it's hard to tell the time by looking at the sun... when the sun is quite thoroughly hidden." He grinned again.
He blinked when she caught the hail. "So, a watch, lovely markings, and good reflexes," he commented. "And, you like storms. Fine company indeed, and so I am glad to have it."
He glanced down his stomach, which dripped mud, as he'd been laying on the ground in the torrential pouring. "However, I seem hardly fit for anyone's company, much less a lady." His habitual grin flashed across his face once more, and he stretched up to let the rain rinse the mud off of him.

He grins, looking a smidge bashful at her comment. "Why, thank you, my lady," he replies. "It's comforting to find others that can admit their love for storms, instead of focusing on the inconvenience of them." He looked lovingly up to the dark clouds for a moment.
He looked back at her, studying her markings, blade-like tail, and finally, her watch. "You are... ahh... concerned with Time, I take it?" He tilted his head slightly to the side. "I have never seen another quite like you, Aimser'lan." He pauses. "Though, I have not really seen too many of our kind, I admit." He chuckles. "They are all too few where I dwell, unfortunately. It is nice to have a companion such as you." He smiles at her.

He watched lazily as she looked at her watch, catching her slight irritation, but not the reason for it. He shrugged it off. Maybe she didn't like rain.
"Eh, I guess I've thought about it. But just as some don't like rain so much, there are others, like me, that do. And it seems to rain this hard naturally so rarely... sometimes I think the world needs a few more storms." He smiled, stretching a bit and sitting up. He reveled in the feeling of the rain sliding down his back for a moment. "I suppose that might be part of the reason for my existance."
At her odd question, he blinked. "As far as I can tell, yes. I don't seem to remember you," he replies. "Nor have I introduced myself, have I? I am Vurrivey." He offered a small bow of his head with the introduction.

"Yes, yes we are having fun," the Tempest Tsume responded, not particularly surprised at the sort-of-new arrival, or at least not bothered by her sudden presence. He glanced around at the trees, and briefly at her, before closing his eyes again. "I'm sure the trees appreciate the water, as should the others in the area." A small, mischeivious grin flitted across his face. "Water is a source of life, isn't it?"
He sighed deeply, raising his head and causing the rain to slide down his neck. "Though I suppose I should give the others a break, and the trees as well."
He opened his eyes for a moment to look up at the clouds, then closed them. The sound of cracking branches subsided... though the storm above him did not. He'd simply narrowed the scope of the storm to extend just to the small meadow.
"Better?" He opened his eyes again to look at her.

Thunder boomed from above, as rain poured down in icy torrents. The trees surrounding a small meadow shook with the force of the weather, branches occasionally snapping in the winds that tore through them. In the very center of the meadow was a Tsume. He lay stretched out, with no canopy or protection of any sort from the violent weather. In fact, he wanted nothing between him and the rain; nothing to shield his body from the wind. A look of bliss had settled over his face, and his eyes were closed. Like the sunbathing rock-lizards, he thought to himself, lazily flicking his rain-washed tail, tipped with its tiny wings. But this is so much better than sun...

Not far from where Dawby had been mysteriously sucked away, in a college apartment, I was lounging on a couch under a slew of illegally-placed Christmas lights. I idly watch the huge screen of the tv a few feet away, on which two incredibly bendy video game characters are beating the muffins out of each other. "Alright, you two have fun," I finally say to the engrossed boys on the other couch, and hoist myself up, then cross into my own apartment. The screensaver of the computer in the corner beckons me closer. I grab the mouse, and scroll down Firefox's dropdown address bar, and select the Orchard. Wonder if anyone else has written in the Pony Island thread... I think idly. My thoughts are cut short by the whoosh of air and an extremely disconcerting feeling. Lights flicker at an incredible pace, colors flashing. The original disconcerting feeling disappears, but only momentarily as I realize that I'm falling out of the sky. Panic sets in, and the flashing colors speed up. I vaguely feel my body changing shapes... a different one each moment. Horse, dragon anthro, winged jaguar... but when I finally hits the ground, more softly than anticipated, my form is an odd mix of dragon and horse; a slender body ending in hooves, with draconic wings and a diamond-tipped tail. In color, I'm a rather eye-burning mix of bright reds and pinks. I land on my side, skidding a few feet before stopping. After a few motionless moments, I lifts my horned equine head, and cautiously gets to my feet... then realize that I have four of them. And they're hooves. And I'm not human. Not human?! The thought whizzes through my head, and I turn to look at the rest of my body. The glaring red of my hairless, snake-like skin turns to a dark purple, as I realize that I've become the creature I always wished to become. Out of the corner of my eye, I notice something else; a small, floating ringed planet hovering near me. Violet streaks across my body as I grow more excited, but I barely even notice that I'm a walking mood ring. Because I've just noticed my wings. GLEE! The mental shout startles even me; I hadn't remembered about the telepathy part of the deal. Slowly, I wonder if anyone else was around to hear my outbust, and see my not-so-graceful landing, and I turn around... to find myself facing an array of creatures and people. I make a less mind-splitting attempt at telepathy this time around, with a simple, Erm, hey... as I blink. ((ooo, couldn't resist joining... while I should be paging )))

Querryth sighs, but amusedly. "Very well," she replies, smirking slightly as he 'collapses'. "I shall hunt for us." She looks around to get her bearings a bit. "Any preference on game? Not that I can promise anything too specific, I tend to go for whatever is edible and tasty that crosses my path..." she wanders closer to him as she speaks, and reaches out a claw to gently prod his shoulder.
She sniffs at the wind a bit, seeking out the scent of anything that could be considered food, and waits for Kroth's response.
