Heh, if I get caught up on my other agencies, I was thinking about doing a random angecur draw over here. Right now, their only information is still on my market site, but I plan on making them a rarer adoption... *still has to revise that this summer*

I definitely want to adopt things when I have the time. Right now, for example, I am off for a few months. When I'm in grad school in September, however, it's going to be a lot harder to find the time to adopt, especially if the adoption requries a story. I have trouble finding good sites to adopt from, and I've just had time this month to get back to visiting the boards (Orchard and Crystal Palace).
So, yes, I love adopting things, and I certainly don't mind putting in effort and getting things on pages within a certain amount of time. Just looking for things to adopt... lol

I'm pretty good. Done with college and heading out to graduate school this fall. Spent some time redoing my computer recently, which was fun. Around the Orchard there has been a few contests and such lately. Overall, I'm having a decent summer.

I would be glad to test read, although if it is very long, it may take me longer.

My avatar is a photo of one of my favorite friends, Disco the beanbag lizard.
My sig at the moment is a bad pixel version of The Mighty Gratira, my very large and wrathful Bishel Dragon alterego. I hope to change it soon though lol
*Edit: Yep, there we go. Now, it is a doll of me.

I'm not allowed to have anything until all my others are paged and all my agency to-do lists are done.

I don't think there is... right now I want to be older /and/ younger. XD Eventually, I guess I'll grow out of wanting to be older and be left with just wanted to be younger.

*snickers* Oh, yes, occasionally I have to go on "Wrath of the Mighty Gratira" rampages to organize dragon updatess and readopt out abandoned ones... but luckily, most of my adopters are pretty good, and because I'm so lenient with updating restrictions, dragons don't tend to get abandoned very often. Although the rules say "one week", that usually means "until I get fed up with your excuses"... Seriously, some people are still working on their stories from 2001, and I don't mind, so long as their stat pages are updated. XD

Yes, a lot of candidate-based agencies have only a selection of adult images in various colors, and they hand out the colors based on the candidates. Usually, I will avoid this, but if the information and art quality are spectacular, I might be tempted. Agencies that have a selection of adult images in various colors and types/levels are more appealing, especially if the information is good. I could be tempted. Places that offer stages of growth in different colors and types are even better. Glenn Dragons fall into this category, and there were a few other dragon species that used to, although their sites aren't active anymore. I would definitely go for something like this, even with recycled outlines. Being able to influence color and type, as well as have a few stages to work with, is a good reward for writing. Agencies that offer stages of growth, different colors/types/mutations, with unique outlines are very rare. Bishen Realm is an agency like that, which is why I require extensive writing for candidates. It takes a lot of my time to do all the dragons, so small clutches, lots of emphasis on writing and developing your dragon. I /love/ stuff like this, but there are very few agencies out there, probably because of the time it takes on the part of the adopter and the artist. These are the best creatures to work into my huge stories. With me, the major thing is writing and having that affect the way the creature develops. Even if the art isn't top notch, I will still be tempted to adopt if the agency has a good variation in its colors/types and good information. I love complicated things... lol I did find a few good dragon agencies at The Nexus link that Myr dropped, so I'll have to start dropping by that board and finding agencies that don't frown upon my complex novels... haha Edit: Oh, as for click-and-takes, I use those as filler characters in my stories. The art quality has to be good though... for example, I love Skyhaven. It's a great place to find interesting creatures for my stories.

Uny: Duuuuhhh! I'd definitely write for you! Um, examples are good, but honestly, I would take whatever you feel like drawing. XD Some background information on the species would probably make it easier for me to write though.
Myr: *twitches at mention of Pern* Arg, yes, I do know about those... I just get annoyed at them because it's usually the same story (oh no, planet in danger from outer space, need dragonriders to fight it, dun dun dun!). They basically took someone else's dragon species instead of making their own. *facepalm* But I guess there might be a few that aren't totally Pern out there that I've overlooked, so I will check it out. Thanks for the link, Myr!
Tiirana: Not quite what I was looking for. ^_^; Although those do require applications, their growth can't actually be affected by what you write on your page in most cases.
L: *stalks her* Close to giving into that urge to steal an egg... as soon as I get this new story going... lol But I would love to see the website actually open, since I haven't read the info for them in forever.
Dawby: Yeah, I'm about the same age, and I used to write tons of stories, then I had to bring down the number while I was in college, and now that I'm out, I'm looking for more writing to do and going, "But... where did they all go? ;_;"

Uny, I /live/ to write stories. lol I am in desperate need of more creatures to work into my stories, so if you start any of your critters back up, I'm the first person you should call. But be careful, because once I start, you can't get rid of me... ask Kari. *points to her Clarus Dragons* ;D

Okay, so today I thought, "Hmm, I feel like starting a new story..." Now, this usually means I go adopt a growing and changing adoption and write around it. You know the type: has multiple stages, and its color/type/etc. can be affected by your story/character/environment. It was a pretty popular format with dragons especially. (If you still aren't sure what I'm talking about, check out the creatures in the stories here: refuge.indyslair.net/library.htm ) So, I go visit the dragon adoption agencies I know of... only to find that most of them haven't been active in the last year or more. So then I search on Google, on the directory projects, and on Bearjest's and Megangirl's cyberpet links. One hour later... The only three I found were Bishen Realm (mine, so that doesn't count lol), Temple of Dea (Clarus Dragons, already writing on one at the moment), and Etea Arena (not quite the same thing, but writing involved at least... not updated since November 2004). So, I ask you, where did the growing and changing adoptions go? Does anyone know of any agencies that still require applications, persona and/or stories to develop their creatures? Looking for creatures that aren't roleplay-required, since I don't have time to get involved in another roleplay. I prefer to put my time into writing... Gah, I feel so old and out of touch. -_- The face of cyber pets is changing, and I don't like it one bit. *sulks and acts like old fogie*
