They told me to surf the internet or read a book until the phone rings. I can so handle this job. And it's like 5 minutes from the house we're currently renting. However, I have another job interview today that was set up before they sent me in here through the temp agency. I do like it here, but the other job is a place where one of my friend's mothers works, so that would be neat too.

my sympathies as well a cry of "good luck" go out to her. I did telmarketing for one day and I couldn't handle anymore being yelled at on the phone. So I made it a week at that job. She has my admiration for sticking in there.

It depends what I'm doing at work... if I'm being the checker, then, yes, I do tend to find it gets dull.
But I don't ever get bored... ask Lessa about that. LOL

Indeed! *pokes you* I left a file for you to read in the festival folder. Also worked on the maze a little bit. I'll work on it more once I get home and can draw up a diagram that I can follow.

half an hour left of today. Tomorrow I know to bring a book with me to read. There's also a paperback exchange right next door that I can visit during my lunch hour.

Go Pega! It looks like I'll be staying at this job for a bit, and I like it, so that's good. And only ten blocks from home, so if I really want to, I can walk while the weather is warm.
However, taking a job without knowing how much it pays is always kinda wierd. I need to call the temp agency that actually employs me to see what it pays and stuff like that.

Hehe... yup. My first step into the real world! *creepy music plays* My mom thinks I should apply all over the place... but I want a job I can enjoy, which does not include fastfood restaurants. *shudder*

*agrees completely* I've been looking for a job since December and only just gotten this one now. But I'm kind of glad because now the wedding is over with and I don't have to deal with planning that and working at a job.

Hey! What's wrong with foodservice. lol... I'm just kidding. But, yeah, I've been working at a cafeteria since September 26th of 2001... It's actually not as bad as people make it out to be.

;p food service and fast food are two different things. I could handle food service but not "Welcome to McDonald's. Can I take your order please?" "Well I'd like a number 12 without the veggies" "So a number 7 then?" "No, a number 12" "Sir/Ma'am a number 7 is a number 12 without any vegetables and it would cost less" "I said a number 12. Can I speak to the manager?" "A number 12 it is. Thank you. Have a nice day"
