Next on the list, after the rest of the judging, are those mixed breedings. *salute!*

Yup, we'll no longer be accepting entries after midnight tonight, pacific time, so any last minute pages/images had better hurry! ^.~ After this we'll judge, and I'll be doing some mixed (lliyani x pegornish cross) c'bana foals for anyone interested/able to pair up their c'bana that quick. *chuckle* That'll likely end with Feb, so you have that much time to worry 'bout stuff, after I give out the lliyani c'bana prizes. *salute*

Alriiiight! My home connection is back! So the end of this is still gonna be the end of January (the cutoff is midnight, Feb 1st; just a few days away!), so get those entries in if you wanna win the contests! ^.~

And to everyone else, even if you already signed the book, check again. ^.^; Dreambook has been evil and leaving entries out, so just make sure you're in there. Update: In case you don't have my LJ friended and missed the announcement there, My home connection has kicked the bucket for the time being. *sai* So untill I can find a new outlet for my little laptop or fix the one in my room, the only place I can check things is from the school's lab comp in between classes. x.x So yeah, I hope to have this all fixed by the end of the festival, but if not, I may extend it a bit, so it can end on a school day.. probably the first thursday of Feb. Only if! If not, be prepared to hit the deadline of Feb 1. ^.~!

Thanks to everyone that voted and offered suggestions! *sends snugs all 'round* I have a list of stuff to do now, and a timeline in which I wanna finish readying and start the festival. ^.~!

This is a bit of an advance warning, since you have almost two months to get some things ready.. we have many contests lined up for you, include a coloring contest, drawing contest, and page-making contest, with varying prizes. (Yes, the best prizes are the ones you gotta work the hardest for.. namely page-making. ^.~)

I'll have to talk to Peg some more, but I think we can have everything ready for the contest by new year's eve. That's when we'll open stuff up, and there will be a few draws (two of which will be unannounced *GRIN*). So start workin' on those pages if you wanna go for the ultimate prizes! Story (length/content) and graphics (tho not too many) will likely be the discerning factors there, and we'll probably judge winners at the end of January, when the festival closes.. so you have a -little- time. *grin*

LadySusie a charity is a group of Painted Unicorns. There's usually anywhere from two to ten or even upto 20+ members in a charity of both stallions and mares. Some charities are Pairs charities, meaning each stallion is mated to one mare and vice versa. Most charities are non-paired, stallions have foals with any mare in the charity as long as they're not closely related.

When choosing parents for a foal they have to be in the same charity, not related, and if the paint requires permission from the owner, for you to have the permission to request the breeding.

Some charities are open meaning none of the members require permission so anyone can adopt a foal from them at any time there is a drawing or for comissions.

Some charities are completely closed, so all paints in the charity require permission first.

And finally there are Partial charities, with both permission and non-permission required paints. Paints will be marked or have a note to show what they are.

so if i were to apply for a foal i would have to see if it is an open or closed charity first and then check the parents of the foal to be bred?

*nods* Yup. It should be written somewhere on the charity page whther it is Open, Closed, or Partial. ^^

Since you're new I recommend you get your first paints from an open charity or from Silv's charities which are for anyone to adopt from.
