Ideas?

We're going to hit 800 Paints really soon here. Any ideas for what event I should do to mark the occation?

Any ideas for any new classes?

Oh goodness that was realy fast! *lol* What haven't you done? XD;; I would say Paint festival but festivals don't seem to go that well anymore not enough people participate.

And uumm...Bearded paints? *always wanted to see a bearded stallie* The other night I was thinking of another wing type. *thinkthink* hmmm how about the opposite of Techia? Instead of being all white they're all black with raven green/blue sheen?

Oh! How about a new tail type? ^^ Deer perhaps? Really long ears? Floppy ears? XD

A 'you-color-the-outline' contest? Kind of similar to the verbal description contest, but a different kind of effort we'd have to put in.

I'm with Lumi on the wing type--dragony wings woulf be very cool..then you could go with normal dragony wings, and mini dragony wings.....

ehe, or insect/butterfly wings. Though I'd save that idea for Paint #1000

I like the idea of bearded paints with lion-ish tails. The European unicorn.

Or maybe for an event you could have a contest for the design of a new class? You'd probably have to put some limits on it, though.

fuzzy legs only. Eohippus feet (like deer, four hooves, two in front, two smaller ones that aren't really used but haven't evolved out) Perhaps a new unicorn horn type like a curved one?

HMMM. Honestly, no idea. Maybe...a coloring contest? Give us an outline? or maybe have us draw out OWN paint? And then you can have your family vote on it, or let us vote?

What about a new tail, a mix between lion and horse? Like in Sue Dawe's art? I always LOVED those tails:

Or maybe fetlocks on theli's? Like in the images above? Or the tail, fetlocks and beards? I've been planning on getting a bearded paint XD Just wasnt sure if they could HAVE beards haha. Maybe something kind of RELATED to the techia class? All the features I mentioned along with gold hooves and horns; maybe like since Techia is purity, maybe these can deal with more...magic and the mystical-mystery that is Unicorns?

I wouldnt want to go anywhere outside of the "horse/goat" line, like with deer tails, or cat features and stuff. Since then you would be pulling in a whole new genetic system that doesnt deal with equines... Hmmm.

Myrror~Don't feel bad about not having seen the dragon wings. There's only like, two out there, from among close to 800 individuals, so that's not surprising that people don't really know about them. Hum, I think I'm with you to do butterfly/dragonfly wings as the 1,000 marker. Thanks for the input! "Warpaint" *lol*

I've honestly always disliked the beards sometimes seen on unicorns. I probably won't go for that. (sorry! *meep*)

I'm kind of liking the coloring contest idea, I might go for that. Hum....

One small note: I meant this thread to be something where I could get ideas, and see them discussed. That means that after an idea is proposed, I want to hear whether you guys think it's a good idea/bad idea, and why. That, of course, requires people to not be sensitive about it if someone says something against an idea they proposed.

What about like, that mutation that Thele's paint got today? The fuzz along the back? I know Uny has one too, but they are kinda cool ^_^ A crew-cut mane and went straight into fuzz and all the way down a lion-tail?

That cheda trait is pretty exotic looking and since it's so rare it would be a fairly good trait for the occasion.

The wing type I was thinking about(and I may have mentioned once a very very long time ago) is fuzzy/furry wings, have you ever seen Silky chickens?

Oh, no I haven't seen silky chickens. That sounds like an interesting idea, though. Do you have any pictures?

They're the cutest thing. XD They're called silkies because their feathers are not like normal feathers. They're long, thin, and fuzzy more like fur than feathers.

anyway they're fuzzy all over, little puffballs. I just thought that fuzzy wings would look rather angelic. ^^
