Will have to find a new series of books soon, I'm almost done "The Dragon Riders of Per" Series only took a few months O.o;; once I got in to the books. Hehehe But if they are anything like harry potter eeehhh, have no urge to read thoes books. Like the movies though.

I'm thinking of reading the books purely for entertainment. They're at a lower reading level than I am used to but Mr. Snicket seems to have a way of words I rather like.
I've only browsed the books thus far. He has a nice sharp sense of sarcasm/bitter humor which is rare in a children's series. The only thing that bothers me is that he has a tendency to be quite repetative. Still, I'll probably read a few of his books and I intend to see the movie.

Series of Unfortunate Events is NOTHING like Harry Potter. If you need a series to read... taht will take you a while... read Robert Jordan's "Wheel of Time" series. The first one is "Eye of the World" NONE of those book (there are 11 in the series so far I think...) are under 800 pages long. They are good. I made it to the 6th book... but I won't read any more until he finishes the series... ^.^ Um... you should also read Mercedes Lackey's Valdemar. I love those books. ^.^ The Wind's series is the best!
