This is my first creature, and I only have one, becuase I don't know if people like them or not. If people do like them, I'll add more and have a draw type thing or something, and if people don't, then I'll just ignore them. They can lots of "mutations" but the one I have drawn so far is standered, with no "mutations". Here is the one I have so far: Name: None Gender: Female ID: 1 Element: Ice I appreciate your time. =D

I think they look splendid.
Two tips though.
1) Possibly make the smaller. It takes up almost a whole 1024 x 768 window, and there are a lot of people still running at 800 x 600. 2) Have you considered shading your creatures? Silvanon has a wonderful tutorial.

It was smaller originally, but when I saved it, it goofed it all up and it looked awful so I made it bigger. It's 700 x 600. And I don't really like shading becuase I always mess it up... >__<

silvanon.com/tutorials/CompTutorial/tutorial.html seriously, even the worst shaders Will benefit from this. I used to do only the most basic shading, and I learned a Lot from that tutorial ^_^ it's really great. Just take a look and practice a few times, and if you don't like the outcome, well, you can say 'I told you so!'

Do you use photoshop? If so try using layers to shade with, then if you do goof it up you wont hurt the original ^-^

i love it! the wings especially are very pretty. i'd definitely make it smaller, though... a lot of people (aka ME!!) have certain ways of setting up the pages for their creatures, and when an image is so large that it takes up almost a full screen, it interferes with site design. uber lovely - just really, really big!

I'm working on making it smaller with out messing up the coloration. My photoshop is missing a few gears, and it always has, so I have to do things a certain way to get stuff to work. But if people like them, I'll go ahead and make more then.

I finally got it down... But this is as small as I can get it with out screwing it up, so I hope it's small enough....

Ohh...very pretty line art! I love it, very original and yet classic.
I like the smaller one, image that are too big for my screen is a huge pet peeve o.O
Shaded would make it all the better, I really would like to see more.

I won't shade the white ones, because white is my worst shading color, but as soon as I finish doing this journaly thing, I can start and draw more.

Though I agree that shading helps (I like the mane on your second one, and the shading around the legs makes it look more real) you've got one really important thing going for you. You draw pretty well Nothing is glaringly wrong or out of proportion. Shading comes with practice and playing around with Photoshop. Then throw in a couple filters and you'll manage some amazing thing. But I do like the white one a lot ^_^ If the dark part of the mane and tail had some highlighting, I wouldn't have even noticed the lack of shading elsewhere. I usually don't have trouble with shading, its getting highlights to work. Especially when working with coloring pencils, since you can't usually make something lighter after you've already coloured it.

I would try to fix it, but I can't fix it right now.....I have a third too, though it's the same pose as the first one becuase I didn't have enough time to draw a new outline. Name: Gender: Female ID: 3 Element: Earth Mutations: Dull hooves Thanks, I have had 6 years of practice drawing...That makes me feel old... Anyway, since I know people like them, I'll go ahead and list elements and mutations: Elements: Air Water Earth Fire Ice Dark Light Time Death Life None (rare) Mutations: No wings Diffrent wings (bat, butterfly, fey) Difrent hooves (dull, split, or prehistoric "toe" hooves" Difrent Feet (rare) ((paws or talons, some times fins)) Difrent tails (any thing from no tail to rabbity tail) Hippicampi syndrome (underwater) Colored eyes (common) I think that's it. Males can have any type of horn(s) or antlers. I'm want to do customs, is why I am telling people this, so if you want one just tell me stuff and I shall draw it.
