Jaradka hummed slightly, causing a temporary, but strange numbing sensation to her current head rest. she liked how warm he was, jaradka could never stand to be out in the cold because she lost her heat so quickly when the temperatures changed... She didn't really understand what that argument was about between Mozer and Astafy, something was odd about them... Were they siblings? She was about to attempt to clarify that even sentient things were food if they were not her friends but was pretty sure they knew that already.
"Astafy prey not food, Jaradka scare to make run, Jaradka likes to hunt, chase prey, prey." she said eerily, her eyes had sharpened and focused on the least brave of the group again, but then drifted off since she wasn't going to hunt right now... Did Jaradka have questions? Jaradka had never been asked that one before and didn't know. Yes... She had questions, strange that they would ask what questions that didn't seem the way that talking worked, maybe it was... She had never been good at talking.
"Hunter Jaradka has questions. Do you like to run? I like to hunt." she paused, what other questions did she have, A friend would fully answer a question and she was a friend, hunter friend of prey and prey friend of hunter. So she would answer fully. "Does Casimir prey, have mate? I like Casimir, good friend, prey." Despite her strange choice of words and odd way of speaking her voice somehow melded them together and made it sound eerily eloquent... And simple at the same time.

The Light didn't seem pleased to have Jaradka's attention on her again, tensing up. But when the interest faded away, she relaxed slightly. Well, until Jaradka got through all of her questions.
Casimir started abruptly beneath her, head jolting slightly against her jaw at her last question. He tilted his head up to roll a dark eye to look up at her as though trying to determine if she was joking.
"Aha!" Mozer pronounced gleefully as Astafy stared at Jaradka as though she'd gone nuts. No, wait, FURTHER nuts. If Mozer had hands, he'd be rubbing them together. "Well now. Some of our kind does enjoy to run. I prefer to fly if I can and while I wouldn't mind a game of chase, I wouldn't want to end up as anything more than an ornamental prize. As for your other question, I think Casimir she answer that. Well, Casimir prey?"
Purple eyes narrowed as Casimir looked sharply at his friend before tilting his head to eye the larger tsume again. "No," he finally said. "I don't have a mate yet."
"I do believe you surprised him," Mozer told Jaradka with a great deal of amusement.

Jaradka grinned for a moment after Casimir bumped into her, it didn't hurt or anything despite the slight 'clunk' noise caused by his horns colliding with her jawbone. Her only reaction to this was to lift up her head slightly, lick him then set it back down. She was not joking in the slightest ; She glanced at Mozer, with her crimson eyes as if estimating how fast he could run or fly and comparing it with her own abilities as a expert hunter... "Hunt prey, not kill, not injure, just hunt, chase. Jaradka good runner, Can fly." she said before turning her attention back to Casimir and licking him again. It made her very happy when he said that he didn't have a mate, and a little more so when he said 'yet' because well, she hadn't asked him yet and that meant he was looking for one maybe? Well, she was looking at him for one so even if he hadn't been looking she will have found him. that made sense. "Jaradka Choose Casimir prey. Casimir prey choose Jaradka?" she asked in a slightly sweeter version of her normal creepy voice. She apparently did not see any problem with them being different species, since Casimir was such good prey <3

Mozer was thinking about how much fun a game of chase with something so much bigger might be. As far as gryvern went he was somewot quick, but really nothing that would likely give Jaradka a challenge, however, all such thoughts fled at her next bit. He fought not to give a crowing laugh. Not that the situation was really laughable so much as the knowledge of just how uncomfortable that would make Casimir.
"That. . . that's disgusting!" Astafy couldn't help but exclaim. The thought that a gryvern, much less one with so much going for him, should be saddled with this. . . this hulking beast with its peculiar mind was so repugnant it must be an abomination.
"Shut up, Astafy," Mozer snapped suddenly at her, the verbal lash harsh, cold, and severe. Perhaps he wasn't just an amused, easy-going fellow; there was a distinct command in his tone.
"But, Mozer--"
"I said to be quiet, Astafy." These words ended the conversation, with the edge or anger underlying them.
Casimir blinked, baffled by the, well, proposal. He shot Mozer a nearly panicked look; so uncertain as to wot he should do. Jaradka was nice enough in her own way, but he was supposed to find a gryvern mate. That's how Things Were Done.

Jaradka glanced over at Mozer and Astafy briefly but her attention remained mainly on Casimir, she was waiting for his reply... Understanding that it might take a moment for him to decide since, well sometimes it took her awhile to reply even to simple questions because she was rather easily confused. and it was pretty sudden. However she herself remained silent in wait for his answer, a large smile across her face.
Now there was a slight problem with this situation... Jaradka was definitely serious, but also rather uh... Strange in her thoughts, and who knows what she might do if the answer was no, and just to add to that she was currently in a position where she could easily break his neck... Not that she was sending off any sort of feeling suggesting this when she rubbed her head against the side of his neck once again...

No one was more conscious of his vulnerable position than Casimir himself and that's why he stared so desperately at Mozer hoping for an answer. The brindle returned the gaze steadily, showing the first signs of pity for his comrade. "I don't know wot to tell you," he answered that look softly. "All's fair in love and war. . . And you may very well be right in the middle of both."
Casimir wasn't overly pleased with that answer, wracking his mind as fast as he could. According to his nature, that really wasn't that fast so the group was left in silence for quite a few minutes as the Dark gryvern thought about all of his options. "Jaradka," he finally asked. "How long do tsumes stay mated to each other?"

Jaradka looked at mozer as he answered Casimirs look, she had no idea what he meant, or was talking about but oh well... It wasn't meant for her to be hearing anyways so it wasn't important that she understood. Maybe it was some sort of advice? that would make sense... But what advice would he need? maybe it was something specific to Gryverns and that is why she did not understand. That made sense.
Jaradka looked up at him with her large smile (well, any smile she had would be large to them) and seemed to think about this... It took her a couple moments to formulate an answer since, well it varied between tsumes and so she wasn't sure how to explain it in a way that made sense. "Tsumes are different than eachother. Jaradka chooses single mate, for life. Some chooses many, or change often. But that not Jaradka." she says in her eery voice, it was strange that she didn't have a more normal voice, or chose not to use it since it was much smoother than fit her appearance. After speaking she rubbed her head against him again, as if trying to help him come up with an answer.

Mozer tilted his head curiously, suddenly glad for Astafy's presence. She was a good enough Healer that she could keep Casimir alive if Jaradka didn't kill him outright. The Dark knew his friend would turn her down, would have to turn her down. Heretical as he himself was, even Mozer wouldn't fight the general law and he knew that Casimir believed in the propagation of their species. A fling here and there didn't matter so much, but once you found the One, you stayed with her. His influence was the only reason Casimir would even consider a 'fling'; otherwise the gryvern had been exceedingly hidebound.
Casimir carefully ducked his head until Jaradka lofted hers again, moving closer to Mozer so he could look up at her red eyes. She was interesting and he had a feeling they had a lot more in common then just being fighters and spiked. "I have a duty to my species," Casimir said quietly. "When I find her, I'll pair with her and we'll quad with Mozer and whoever he finds for his mate. I have no obligations until I do find her," he seemed to be thinking this through as he spoke and hoped he was making at least some sense. "But once I do, I will be bound to her and her alone." He tilted his head ever so slightly up at Jaradka. "Gryverns must, eventually, mate with gryverns or our species will die out."
Astafy stared at the pair, unable to believe her ears. He sounded like he was actually considering it! "You've got to be--" A sharp look from Mozer killed the sentence in her throat, but she still stared on in disbelief.

Jaradka listened intently and carefully to each of the words, they made sense... The words made sense............ But not when they were all together, she had no real idea what he was talking about and it was somewhat evident by her slightly curious look, and tilted head. she knew it was something along the lines of maybe... but other than that well, he had a duty to gryverns? what was his duty? She wouldn't stop him from fighting. it was a slow realization that he might have meant no... But she wondered why he didn't just say that, instead of all those confusing words.
"Jaradka does not understand." her voice wasn't sad at all, which probably made the guilty feeling even worse, she had no idea what he had just said... Her mind was simply not working on the same level when it came to social structures and such. wait... Maybe she did understand some of it, he had to find a gryvern mate, and then would be bound to her alone but was free until then? That made sense... He could take mates of other things but had to eventually find one of his own species... That was a very strange behaviour she decided. But it may be better to be with him for awhile than not at all... "Jaradka has to be temporary mate?" she asked, some how managing to get some of those jumbled thoughts through the maze of her mind.
Astafy was being strange, but that must be how the females act?

Casimir blinked, having been certain at first that his mental and vocal ramblings and final answer would have ended in a fight. "Well," he said quietly. "I guess so." And then realized he just took a virtual unknown as a mate. He blinked wondering how he stepped into that one.
"Well," Mozer said with an amused and rather content tone. "This should turn out interesting in the end."
"Wot do you mean interesting?!" Astafy turned on him. "They're going to freak out!"
"This -is- why they let us out to explore," Mozer reminded her easily, turning to send her a bemused glance.
"Not with. . . . -that!" she flicked her tail lightly in wot might be a cautious gesture at Jaradka. Casimir turned a dark eye at his old friend and there was a warning there. "You two are both mad. Something in this Reality has driven you both insane!"
"Maybe we could set up a chase now," Mozer suggested almost idly. "Anyone who wants to can participate." He set an eye on Astafy who harrumphed in irritation.

Jaradka lit up and nodded to Casimir, she did wish to take a mate permanently but if it was not possible than she would compromise with him and, who knows maybe he would decide to keep by her permanently... She could only hope. "Jaradka is sorry that jaradka not all understand prey, prey words. But jaradka very much would like to chase, to hunt." she says then hops/bounces over to them and looks around for which direction they would want to go...
Then she notices Astafy and leans down close to her, her head merely inches away from the smaller beings and with an inquisitive tone asks "Does Friend prey Astafy, wish to come? If friend prey wish to stay, Jaradka can tell Angelus for company... Angelus nice tsume, confuses Jaradka with big words." she says with a nod, as if this was something that he had in common with Astafy XD
Then she turned back to the other two and awaited their response, she wanted to see how fast her friend preys could move, and wanted to hunt because she was once again excited and antsy... Maybe they could find some food prey as well. Jaradka was hungry too and prey was good, jaradka knew not to eat horned horses that much was important...

"I do believe, we're going to play a game then," Mozer said in tones of approval and amusement, stretching slgihtly, before looking tot he air. Unless they had wings, gryvern weren't very good at just hovering. Flight for them involved motion, so he waited until the others were prepared.
Astafy gave another yelp, scrambling back away from Jaradka with a glare. "Just go already!" she gasped/snarled.
Casimir shook his head and decided not to wait for Astafy's next fit. He glanced towards Mozer who caught his eye and grinned. "I believe the first escape plan would be excellent for this, don't you?"
Casimir nodded slowly, turning his head to glance at Jaradka who was obviously waiting for them. "Alright then," he said. "Go."
With that single word, the larger male leapt abruptly into the brush, taking off with a surprising burst of speed and disappearing into the surrounding woods as Mozer went upwards, snaking up and away, in the opposite direction as Casimir.

Jaradka didn't hesitate in choosing which to go after, it was mozer. He was slower at flying than her, and she could catch him and then track Casimir into the woods and find him. She was very good at tracking something, especially if she's gotten a taste of it. The secondary reason for licking him earlier, other than trying to show affection. But for now it was mozer that she was going to get.
She Flung open her, a blast of wind going out in all directions from her as she almost literally leapt into the air and began flying furiously, her wings were large but she had to flap hard in order to gain speed and altitude but with the amount of energy she put into it she moved faster than it looked like she should <.<; and she had fully re-entered predator mode which made her a whole lot more scary once again.
Whatever she had lost with her mind, she had obviously more than made up for with speed and strength. Hopefully Mozer didn't mind getting tackled out of the air by the large, charging female...

Mozer wasn't planning on staying up for too long, instead doing exactly as Casimir had told him to before. When Jaradka got close enough, he dropped. Like a stone. One moment he was wiggling through the air, and the next he was falling. He went below the treeline, using one foot to bounce off the ground itself then began to dance swiftly through the trees. One advantage to his long, lithe form, Mozer could squeeze through the tight trees without a problem. He moved swiftly into the deepest brush he could find, then abruptly crossed paths with Casimir. The heavier gryvern cut across his friend's path, giving Mozer the briefest flash of faint joy lighting Casimir's features.
Mozer grinned himself cutting abruptly to his right as Casimir went left. Casimir alternated between running and flight, pushing strongly off the trees as he looked for a viable place to make his stand, if he needed one, or to hide if they decided, or just more room to run.

Jaradka had actually been expecting a move like that and her claws almost reached him when he dropped, then she remembered that that would have hurt him and paused, she rarely paused when hunting... with how they were dashing it would be very hard for her to catch them... alive.... Yes, but maybe they wouldn't mind afew close calls?
She dove down after them and continued at mozer, she was following him but staying above the trees, their leaves did not obscure her vision too much as to block out the fleeing forms... tree ground tree... It was very interesting, she had never seen anything move like that before and it was almost hypnotic, that was until she caught a pattern from it... Then she rose swung down and opened her mouth, A very risky move because she never knew exactly what would come out... Fire, water, air, death.... It was almost random. Almost. However this time it happened to be a very large blast of something rather akin to Sap, or glue... And slightly like Phleghm... Ew, she didn't like That breath weapon.
She was hoping that he would not know she was capable of that, and even had he known it would have been nearly impossible to guess where she was aiming it, or that she was even going to use it before it just happened... And just after using it she had closed her wings and simply come crashing through the branches and such at where he would have to dodge to if he did manage to dodge it. If he didn't then, well she didn't have to worry about catching him.
~~
Something was stirring back at where they had left astafy, Some might recognize it as a form of teleportation, but the only thing other than the shimmering air was a quickly expanding shadow that spread down across the ground, as if the sun had just risen for the object that was coming.... The shadow was not comforting.
