*her ears perk forward as he comes in to sight and she crouches low, trying to be as still as possible, waiting to see what he'll do.*

Slowly he slinks forward, shoulders hunched under his icy pelt. Ears cast forward to catch the minute sound of a breath, but so far, Ember eluded his acute senses

Splendor happily springs along through the trees, feeling exhilarated. She pricks her ears, and not hearing them behind her anymore, she shortens her strides, then stops and listens intently. Her muscles tighten as she crouches low to the ground, alert.

*Splendor would still hear Puddle Jumper behind her, who had followed her all this way.*
*Unable to contain herself anymore she lunges over the bush and tackles him, bounding off once again towards thinner underbrush and then out into the open again.*

Splendor looks over her shoulder, and sits still. Then, hearing the commotion ahead of her she takes off again. Grinning, she says "Lets go!"

He rolled, keeping his momentum until he found his feet once again. He shook his massive pate, trying to clear the stars from his vision. When he stepped forward, he wavered and weaved. Bringing a paw to his smarting muzzle, he then catches sight of the fleeing females. With an amused growl, he launches forth once again. His strides were a might uncertain, but he begain to gain ground 'pon them.

*Ember gives a bark and Puddle Jumper gives a howl as they all lope through the woods.*

As the slowed to a lope, he caught up quickly. Seeing Ember before him, he dipped closer alongside her to keep pace. His pads lifted from the ground in a comical frolic, tongue lolling from his mouth.

Splendor yaps playfully with the group and nips Puddle on the shoulder and bounds ahead of her.

Looking ahead to the pair, a wolfish grin marks his already comical features. His sinews and tendons strained in anticipation. Oh to run, to jump, leap.....play. How he wished all his life was as such....yet a worry began to nag at him of how his territory was faring in his absence.

*Ember gently bumps into so as not to trip him but just to make him swerve a bit. Now that they're out in the open she picks up the pace again.*

Limbs sweep through the waving grasses that spread across the open space. Head was thrown high to feel the rays of sunlight and the tendrils of wind against his ruff. His strides quickened to keep pace with Ember. For the slight nudge given by her, he gave a gentle nip to her hind as he pulled alongside.

*Ember quickly pulls her feet back under her, but a little two quickly as she trips and goes rolling for a bit before crashing to halt.*

An embarrassed grimace pulled down his features. Loping quickly to her side, he circled a few times, trying to ascertain what injuries she had sustained. Feeling she might be hurt, his tongue lavished wet licks 'crosst her muzzle and pricked ears. All the while his tail was waving apologeticly, he hadn't meant any harm.

Splendor with Jumper, enjoying their sprint, came to a quick halt. She glances at Jumper, and they both race to where Ember is lying. Splendor bends down to check her out, then looks inquisitively at Enchanter.
