((How about Kathryn, but called Kat..?))
Kat almost tripped by her friend's sudden nudge and she slowed, glancing over her shoulder. "Hey now." She picked up speed and began to jog again. "What a way to break in new boots, huh?" she thought. She sighed and continued running. Flying would be a nice ability to have, yet she was a shifter like her friend. She was, simply put, completely human.

Kat stopped suddenly and eyed her friend. "I haven't exactly practiced running and mounting. Think you could land?" She shield her eyes from the sun to look at her sky-bound friend.

"I think she should wait on us, and if she doesn't she obviously didn't care if we followed," Kat explained. She laced her fingers through the mane of her friend and hopped on. She remembers her past experiences with bareback riding, and they weren't plesant. She leans in close to her friend, gripping Stormelle's sides as best she can with her knees. 'This aught to prove interesting,' she thought.

Kat felt the wind whip through her hair, sending the dark slivers flying about her head. She squinted her eyes against the wind and wondered where they were going and how long it would take. Sparing a glance downward, she realized she had a fear of heights. Great.....

(Ummmm...there's only so much I can add to that..And it'd only be description because I'd end up having to take over your characters if I did much else...So..I'm going to wait for you to elaborate on that. Use your imagination and feel free to involve more than one line. Paragraphs are good. )

Kat dismounts the equine, planting both feet firmly on the ground, happy to feel its strength beneath her. He tries to smooth down her wind-blown hair and looks the the "smiling" bird. "Your home?" she asks, brushing her hands off on her pants and peering about. Her dark eyes examin what there is to see, though her form doesn't move from its spot.

Kat jumps back, her brown eyes widening. "What kind of work is that? And for a bird....Who set that up?" She turns her wide eyes to Stormelle, wondering if she's going to remain in that form forever. Her friend tended to forget about her form often. Chuckling to herself, Kat tosses her hair over her shoulder, tilting her head as she leans forward, trying to see into the cave without acctually going in, or even very close for that matter. A large bird who would leave what she(?) was to protect doesn't sound very assuring. It's rather curious, acctually. "What were you protecting?" she asks, expecting everyone to be on her same page of thought it seems.

Kat shrugged. "That's strange," she stated in a lowered tone. Seeing her friend entering the cave, she followed behind the bird. "Who's 'they'?" she asked. She stretched as she walked behind the big bird, letting a yawn slip from her mouth. She was slightly tired and just now realizing it. She wondered what all she would see within the bird's dwelling place. She thought she remembered the bird saying something about another of its kind living here with her.
