Hmm, it seemed most present hadn't even noticed him. Neind shook his mane, the feathers attached to his ear flicking from side to side in annoyance. Oh wait! That little brown mare caught his eye, especially after her formal bow, though she spoke to everyone present she included him in her address. At least someone here had proper manners!
He returned the bow, "I am Neind'Nyalis."
Just then he started, for he had noticed a head peeking out from behind a tree. Looking more closely he realized that it was another C'bana, a mare, a rather sleepy one. He nods in her direction as well, not realizing that he was the cause of the interruption of her sleep.
((OOC: sorry I wasn't able to post during the week. BTW Pega, should Neind know how Letti is?))

((Sunblind- Neind seems to be ignorant on true Northern culture, but if you think he'd know, he could definately find out if he hung out around Morning Mists before going to you. So it's up to you. Could be interesting, Either way.))
Juniper was beginning to be overwhelmed by the sheer amount of C'banae. She'd been raised in a populated herd, but the C'bana she met outside of that were often only around for a few days before leaving to explore new realms, as these C'banae must all have done.
Tia's question sticks out to her as the one question she knew the answer to. Under her white fur, a tinge of pink can be seen. How silly! What if no one LIKED Valentine's Day in... Late September? It was a good time for snuggling, what with the cool weather. So she decided to tell the truth... sort of.
"Don't you guys just love Holidays?! And Festivals?"
Good one.
Lettice'di'mani smiles. First at Tia, then Zan.
"Yes, I am the daughter of Manniko, the great northern warrior... and I've returned." she sighs, letting her mane flutter a bit with the action. "Thanks, but it's fine. Maybe one day I'll turn out to be what I'm cracked up to be. Eheh... heh."
Then she hears the little stallion's curious greeting, and sees his graceful bow. What manners! Ha!
"My friends call me Letti," she says, her humor showing a bit in a slight, unladylike grin. "Good to meet you, Neind. What brings you to the Orchard today?"

((OOC: maybe he'll have an inkling then))
Letti...that sounded familiar. An almost comical look crossed his face as he tried to place the name. He was sure he'd heard it before, but he couldn't remember where, nor in what context. Was it important? He shrugs, giving up. He'll probably remember at some later time.
Then he had to struggle with the next question. He couldn't exactly say he was running for his life and in the process got lost and ended up here. That was rather...embarrassing. So he improvised, "Just enjoying a beautiful day, letting the wind guide my paws." As his said this he looked up at the gorgeous blue sky, flaring his nostrils to breath in the scents carried on the breeze. To tell the truth this was indeed a lovely place. Very peaceful. He may have to thank that other Desert stallion for the detour! Well, thank him from a distance anyway.

Letti laughs quietly as he struggles to find an answer, then notices the way he gazes about at the sky and greenery.
"It is quite a lovely day, isn't it?" And here, a mischeivous strand enters her heart. "As if God himself had painted it." It was true, actually. The sun was begining to set, painting the light, fluffy clouds in radiant purples and reds. It was so true, in fact, that her mischeivous thought is lost in the action itself, for the sky reminds her of so many she'd watched with her elderly father. It seemed that this was her favorite of times with him, and thus she is lost in contemplating it.
"I often watch the sunsets with my father. He used to tell me stories of the War as we watched. Of noble warriors like himself... and of the cruelty all C'bana had towards each other then. He is glad that God has finally granted us this peace. At least... for now."
She didn't often speak of that wise, omnipotent being that gave life to Pegorn, but she knew within her very bones that he was real. Which is really why this silly C'bana's words had struck mischeif in her to begin with... Perhaps he could now proove her otherwise.

The War? Oh...it was on the tip of his tongue, he should know who she is...but he couldn't quite remember how the story went.
"Yes the One True God of the North is truly wonderous, and I am certain that peace is meant to continue!"
He paused a moment, "Your father was a Warrior then?" he tried to prompt without being too obvious about not being able put a name to a face. But he was never good at keeping his emotions off his face.

Lettice'di'mani tries to be sure that her laugh is silent.
"Why must you always attatch a direction to the Creator's name? Is it to identify him amongst all the others?" She tries to keep this question purely conversational in nature. She really doesn't want to upset him.
"My father has no name," Letti continues, her eyes distant, "except that he is known as Warrior. I think perhaps that he lost his name in all the carnage. He cannot remember anything of my mother, but that he loves her very much. My life has thus been a very strange one... after my mother died, I wandered around Pegorn for many years before I found my father. I do not even know how he knew me. For I didn't know him."
She falls silent, admiring the way the dark night absorbs the sunset.

((OOC - back from my trip! BTW, as far as religion goes all I've got is one paragraph in our about page to work with LOL, so feel free if I end up making up something that doesn't make sense *g*))
The question of his deity caught him off guard. She was a desert C'bana, was she not? Did she not know of the warring gods of the desert tribes? The peaceful god of the Northerns was a much more beneficent being. "Of course," he replied, not upset but rather a little ruffled. "One must not confuse him with the Dragon gods!"
He grew silent as Letti spoke of her family. He himself remembered little of his parents, they weren't happy that he didn't follow their gods, but he couldn't stomach the rivalries between tribes. He left the desert at a young age and lived for a time with someone from another Realm, but as time passed he was forgotten, abandoned, by that Realm Keeper. It had been a hard time, especially as his expectations had been so high as he struck out on his own. Being left to his own devices he had been frightened and lost. He wandered for a long time, meandering aimlessly till he found his way to SunBlind's Realm and she allowed him to stay for as long as he wished. He's only left just now, after that fateful encounter with that traditional desert C'bana, but he knew SunBlind's Realm as big enough for the both of them, and he would soon go back.
He looked up from his thoughts at Letti and a faint pink blush coloured his cheeks. "Oh!" From the expression on her face it was obvious that he'd spoken his thoughts out loud....

((OOC- No worries-- I just thought you were trying to make him a bit of a zealot. There are all types. He can be one. Most of C'bana believe in only one god. A sort of Judeo-Christian god, with similar values. The Desert C'bana are mostly Polytheistic. There are two sets of gods, always warring and causing chaos: The Unicorn gods, who are, in general, known for doing good things (For example, they've replaced their goddess of change/seasons with Pega. They worship her quite insistently, as the desert region yearns so much for the rainy season and change in general. There is also a Unicorn God of the Sun, similar to Apollo.) The dragon gods, however, are in general over darker things. The dragon goddesses of Chaos and the God of War are examples.) There are, however, "good" dragon gods and "bad" dragon gods. I wrote a story about it once, but I seem to have lost it. :/ Does that make a bit more sense? I know the single paragraph is vague, which is why I let people interpret. And--- he can still be a little odd. XD I like him that way.)) Oh, she knew of the Dragon and Unicorn gods who loved chaos and war and violence. But she was not a desert C'bana. She'd always believed in the one God. And so she nods. "But I thought that most Desert C'bana had given up beliefs in the Dragon Gods? No matter... I know there are still some who worship the ground Pega walks on." She laughs. Then her face grows still, and her ears attentive. "You have been through much, Neind'Nyalis. A warrior in your own right," she says, and then pauses, gazing up as the stars begin to shine. "I am sorry that you were persecuted; that your own parents did not accept you. Desert life is hard, I have heard... and... I am sorry that you do not feel safe in your realm. I am sure that if this other stallion did anything to hurt you, your SunBlind would take you elsewhere." She looks back at him then, laughing, "And as you say, the realm is quite big enough for the both of you."

((OOC: he is a bit of a zealot, a harmless one, a bit of a nut, more than a tad naive, but he's fun *g*))
"Perhaps most have enlightened and saw the truth in the belief of the One God, but my tribe was quite isolated. and didn't like to mingle much with the others. Too much bad blood running back through generations of foolish squabbles."
He was hugely flattered by the warrior comment. You could see the little blue stallion puff up with pride in response. "Oh, I wasn't really afraid, though he certainly was bigger and stronger than I. I just dislike fighting, it is distasteful to me. But SunBlind always ensure that her Realm remains peaceful, at least most of the time. It wouldn't look good if the dragons started munching on the travelers through her lands!" He laughed at his own joke.
The he too noticed the stars, "My, aren't they pretty. The One God created such wondrous things for us to experience in this world. Oh! And that means it's getting late! I hope I haven't kept you here too long!"

((OOC: I am SO sorry that I take so long to reply. I read your replies and start to reply, but then I always seem to get distracted. ^^;; I'm a bit ADD in that way. XD Also--- he's not all blue--- just faded. I think you'll be quite suprised by his redrawing. heheh. I've already sketched it. *glee* I love redrawing things. It makes me feel good. )) "Ahh..." she says, "In my travels, I met that kind as well. They rarely let me stay. I was very glad when I finally returned to my home, and found I was still welcomed there." Here she laughs as he puffs himself up, then nods. "I do not envy violence at all. I never have... And yes, dragons munching on anyone is quite painful, I'm sure. " Lettice'di'Mani knew many things, but she had never experienced this lack of affection from her own friends and family. She felt sad to know that this poor stallion had. She looses herself a bit in the stars, nodding faintly to his admiration. "I have no responsibilities at home, but an elderly father who is quite well off with his friends there," she says, turning to him from her star-gazing. "So... no, I have enough time. Besides... Juniper's still spying on the lovebirds over there." She laughs as she points to Juniper's position in a bush not far from them, where Mwrey'du'Simba and Fanelalaii's orange coats can be clearly seen in the moonlight.

((OOC: don't worry, I can be an excruciatingly slow RP'er myself))
Neind turned his head to look at the other three, he had completely forgotten they had existed! It had been some time since he'd been around so many of his kind, he did miss it a little. SunBlind was kind and all, and she could take the form of a unicorn, but it wasn't the same as being around someone who had been born with four feet. He'd heard rumours that a Savannah C'bana had come to live in SunBlind's Realm, but he hadn't had the pleasure of meeting her yet.
So he was not in any rush to get home either. He grinned back at her, "It appears the One God has blessed those two with great joy and love. One may not understand his ways, but he always brings you to where you need to be, you just need to suffer the journey."
He jumped with a sharp intake of breath. Then looked sheepish. He'd just been startled by a firefly that decided to flicker on near his eye. With a soft snort he blew the little creature on its way.

Letti smiles, laughing a bit.
"Yes, and he grants to some loneliness that they might find new ways to live, and others love, that they might know bliss."
His comment was not lost on her. Suffering the journey. It sounded so sad that way, but as she thought of it, she realized that for some people; some C'banae, this was true. Maybe even for her. Juniper did not suffer the journey. She was one to enjoy every minute of it. The ups, the downs, the twirls and the crashes. She never let any of it bother her. Letti, however, was quite the sufferer sometimes. Not tonight, though.
She's a bit startled by his surprise, then notices the firefly buzzing away, and bursts out in a tiny, bell-like laugh. She's obviously trying to hold it in, but she's kind of failing.
"Was it the lightningbug that startled you?" she asks, grinning.
