" And I thought it was hard finding someone in the desert." The C'bana huffs good-naturedly to herself as she pauses, trying to decide the best path through the thick trees. With only a vague idea of where she should end up, though, the choices all seemed about equal; shrugging, she veers off a bit to the left, hoping that the brighter area ahead might afford a better view at least. If luck was really with her, maybe she'd even start to hear music sometime; she grins at the thought, remembering how rapturously Mwrey'du'Simba had been describing it to her. Nodding in amused contentment at her current mission, she glances back at the flower she was carrying with her tail, just to ensure that nothing had happened to it. When all appears to be fine, she turns back to her search through the forest with renewed fervor, convinced that one of these times she'd spot something besides another birch or maple tree.

Fane'lalii had been at work for some time, for even through magic it took much to transport her harp but she rarely went anywhere without it. Her orange eyes where half closed as the warm sun, so pleasant in this forest, beat against her fur shown bright as she pushed herself up. A gentle smile danced upon her face though no one was near she enjoyed filling such a beautiful and possibly mysterious place with the music so many often told her was angelic. Shifting her weight so she was balanced on her hind legs she pulled her harp to her chest and slowly began to play, it wasn't any true song a human or C'bana would know just a pleasant combination of notes. Slowly as she did so se began to think of the world around her, something she often did while playing her harp, and in doing so she began to hum along with her own music absentmindedly.

Lwasana'Cayimaii pauses once again as she reaches the patches of sunlight, simply enjoying being able to see the sky while deciding where to go next; as she looks up, though, something besides the clouds catches her attention. Tilting her head, she concentrates on the sounds around her, and hears it again; there were a few strains of music in the air, all but imperceptible from where she was. Completely taken aback at having found something so promising so quickly, the mare remains transfixed for a few moments, before laughing jubilantly. "Oh, that has to be a good omen... Hmm, and he's right; I probably should stop talking to myself." Grinning, she starts heading for the source of the sound as quickly as she can, completely pleased as the music starts to grow louder. Finally, the gold of the harp shows through the tree trunks, quickly followed by a view of the musician. Slowing down, Lwasana'Cayimaii decides to sit down a short distant away first, as much out of curiosity as of uncertainty over whether or not she should interrupt the other mare while she was playing.

Fane'lalii had closed her eyes as her thoughts trailed away, every movement she made was smooth and rythmic as the song slowed, her humming becoming softer as she stroked the last few strings. Sighing she sat back, listening to the notes that still lingered in the air she opened her eyes. She gasped slightly, she'd not expected to see another C'bana especially not when she knew other gatherings where going on. "Oh...Umm..." she stumbled over the words that presented themselves in her mind, not sure what to say.

Lwasana'Cayimaii grimaces at the other mare's shocked confusion; she hadn't meant to be seen yet, but in her reverie over the music she must have failed to conceal herself properly. So much for good omens; still, she had wanted to talk to her anyway, and at least she hadn't had to exactly interrupt this way. She swiches to a friendly, encouraging smile, though it doesn't quite cover her embarrassment. "Sorry for startling you- Mwrey'du'Simba had just told me how wonderfully you played, and I thought I should come and listen. I hope you don't mind?" At her last sentence, she blushes and swishes her tail a bit nervously, genuinely concerned that she may have alarmed her.

"Mwrey'du'Simba?" she asked, slightly confused for her thoughts where still slightly scattered and not in the present time. She shifted her weight forward onto all four of her paws and stepped forward slightly. "How do you know of my music?" she rarely choose to play for others and when she did it was most deffinetly upon special occassion.

She hums anxiously to herself for a moment; the mare didn't seem frightened, but making her defensive was hardly a better way to get on her good side. Still, there was little to do besides answer her questions, which she tries to do as pleasantly as possible. "Mwrey'du'Simba's a friend of mine; he must have wandered into an area where he could hear you like I did...only he was polite enough not to disturb you. I'm afraid I should follow his example more often..." She chuckles and smiles apologetically, before her curiosity gets the better of her. "Do not many C'banae know of your music then?"
(And now I think it's my turn to smile apologetically... *blushes* I figured if Lwasana'Cayimaii could hear Fane'lalii playing, Mwrey'du'Simba may have too...you don't mind, do you? Otherwise, we could go back and change things...oh, the power of changing reality. *smiles*)

(This works, I wasn't really expecting it but I can go with it. ^.^ After all...She does make a habit of playing randomly so he may have heard her. ^w^)
"Oh..." she said, and if she could have blushed she would have. "I didn't realise I'd attracted attention any time before..." she drew a small circle on the ground with her front paw, not sure why these next few words slipped so easily from her mouth. "Not many...Those in my local realm and my family...But besides those...Not many...I don't often show off." she said, smiling now as she put quotation marks around her words.

She laughs easily at the mare's explanation and her smile. "I'll have to count myself extremely lucky then; if I were half as talented as you, I'd probably end up telling everyone about it." Winking, she continues quickly, "If only because it would be a lot easier having help when trying to move that lovely harp; how did you get it out here, actually?" She glances around at all the trees, wondering how much they would get in the way; as she does so, she ends up looking back towards where she came from, and suddenly recalls why she was there at all. Mentally chastising herself for getting off track, she turns back to the mare, trying to think of a way to steer the conversation where she wanted it to go while waiting for an answer.
(Glad it ended up being all right, though I really should have asked first...can I just say that there are many reasons I don't roleplay much? *half grin*)

(*chuckle* I really don't mind. I may be surprised but I usually go along with things...If there's something I truly don't like I'll let you know...Is that ok? Doubt there will be but hey...)
"Magic, portals are the easiest way...But it was still a hassel...Luckly I can by pass all the trees." she said, smiling again. She wasn't used to talking to C'bana who knew of her talent other then those she'd mentioned. She felt an overwelming want to have her sister here but she swiftly pushed the idea from her mind, attempting to stay in the present.

Nodding, she replies, "Hm, I suppose that would be the best way, if you could do it; and then you wouldn't need the extra help either. Guess that means I'd only be showing off so everyone would know my name, which isn't terribly honorab-" A sudden thought stops her abruptly in the middle of the word, and she can't help but laugh at herself. "By the desert winds, I've been talking all this time, and never even told you my name; certainly seems I don't have to worry about that causing me to seek attention. I'm Lwasana'Cayimaii." She bows her head as she introduces herself, her eyes twinkling in amusement.
(Certainly works for me, though I'd hope I couldn't wander off too far into the unbelievable now either; you're free to rein me in if I do though. ^^)

Fane'lalii laughed slightly, the sound almost seemed to be another stroke of her large harp but the strings where still, "I forgot as well so I don't think either of us is to blame. Pleasure, I'm Fane'lalii." she said, bowing her head in return as she answered.
(Okies. ^^ Argh...My brain doth not work)

" A pleasure to meet you too, Fane'lalii." She gazes at the mare thoughtfully for a moment, trying to guess at her character, and the best way to proceed; not seeing much to guide her though, she decides she may as well try a more direct approach. With a bashful, amused expression, she moves her tail forward, offering the flower with its simple, white petals and fluffy, rose-tinged seeds to her. " I know this may seem a trifle odd, but this is the flower Mwrey'du'Simba thought you most like; I'm afraid you'd have to ask him yourself why, though, as he didn't tell me." (*laughs* Oh, I bet your brain works better than mine at the moment. ^^ In case you're wondering though, this is the flower I'm thinking of: i67.photobucket.com/albums/h307/StrangelyDreamt/FallugiaFlower.jpgi67.photobucket.com/albums/h307/StrangelyDreamt/FallugiaSeed.jpgAlthough, technically it's the seeds I'm most thinking of. ^^ The flower picture is a bit misleading with the angle it's taken at; they're actually just five, not particularly large petals; pretty, but not really showy. And now that I've gotten my bit of botany in for the day, I think it's time for sleep...)

Fane'lalii tilted her head very slightly as she moved forward and gently took the flower between two of her fingers. "It's pretty." she half laughed as she did so, though one couldn't be sure why, but she did. "Now I'm curious about Mwrey'du'Simba...Why didn't he himself come and give me this?" she asked, nodding slightly toward the flower.
(Oooo...It's pretty, in like...A crazy sort of way, probably just because I've never seen anything like it...>.<; )

Grinning, she laughingly replies, "Oh, probably because I didn't exactly invite him to come. You'd think that someone who enjoys wandering as much as he does would know that sometimes you just have to introduce yourself though." She shakes her head and rolls her eyes at his eccentricities, though it's clearly done in a kindly, almost motherly way. As if to make up for teasing him though, she continues, "He's really a good sort; just a touch too formal for his own good sometimes." A bemused expression comes on her face for a moment as she thinks about him; with another soft shake of her head though, she focuses completely on Fane'lalii again. "Would you care to meet him though? If he's not wandered off, he shouldn't be too far away, and I could either lead you there or him here, at your preference." And just in case she would be inclined to say no, she adds quickly and encouragingly, "I'm sure he'd enjoy meeting you."
(*laughs* I think that's an accurate description, even if you have seen it. ^^ Definitely one of my favorite plants I had to collect seeds from.)
