It's funny how young children just want to get old and adults just want to be young again. I wonder if there's some sort of age where you don't feel one way or the other? Probably depends on the individual person... or somesuch.

I would have to say, in general, unless they are yours or Paints yours have RPed with quite a bit... stay away from it. People like to write about their own creatures, for one thing. You might have a different idea of what that Paint's personality is like than their Keeper does. It could get icky. If you don't even know the Paint's name, how can you write about it? Many Paints have a long, varied history, that you wouldn't be able to track -with- a name, let alone -without- one. @_@ And, from the looks of it, this could be a long, long story. What are you going to do with it? Silvanon is the Paint Unicorn creator, so you couldn't (or, at least, -shouldn't-) be getting anything from such a story... except the satisfaction of writing. Really, it would be much easier to just create your own characters. Yes, the Painted Unicorns are pretty and inspiring, but that seems like it would be a bit shaky ground to me...

*agrees with 'Lura about the Deja vu-age*
Anyhoo... At Hamline University. Came here to be a studio arts major, realized I'd hate it, floated around awhile and ended up a sociology major.
Will be graduating in May.
Whee?

I wanted to be an artist and take commission work. As Lessa could attest to, that would have been a bad career decision for me.

Heh. I <3 sociology. I did my senior thesis on online communication and the formation of community and its possible affect on identity. The psychology part ended up in there because I wouldn't have had enough prior literature research without it (to base my own study in, as researchers like to do), as the main person studying the field was a social psychologist. . . *shakes fist at Sherry Turkle* lol This... month... *eyes calendar* Ack! I graduate next month! I hadn't really realized that.

I went to college thinking I would become a Studio Arts major.
I realized: 1. I didn't want art as a job. 2. It was rather unrealistic anyway. 3. I rather disliked the department.
So I floated around for a year-ish. English...? Anthropology...? What was I gonna do?
And then I took a Sociology class. I immediately liked it. It clicked with my way of thinking and I realized it was something I had been doing my entire life, why not learn theories behind it?
So, come May, I'll be a Sociology major with minors in Studio Arts, Women's Studies, and (unofficially) English. Whee?
Also... wark is supposed to be the sound a chocobo makes. ^_^

Yes, congrats on graduation, and with honors! I should have gone to college, oh well, maybe after all the kids are in school, then I might have some time. T'was just the lowest form of honors... "Cum laude" (v. magna/suma cum laude) But I was still rather proud of myself. Though I should've done better.

*eyes the birthday bar* @_@ I don't know if you even look at this forum anymore, but I remember you and how you encouraged me and the trades we did. I hope you eventually got your college stuff figured out, and today, wherever you are, that you're having a special day of sorts. Wicket, wicket.
