I feel really stupid, but.. as long as I've been making cyberpets... I don't really know what the individual forums are for. I know a lot of various adopters have their own forums, however I never really got to know what they were all about.
Today someone asked me if my Rivets have an RP Board, and I didn't really know what to say..
What is an RP Board? Is it a forum with a section for RP just for your specific creature? Is it set in your world or any world or what? Do different species only mix and mingle in RP at the Orchard Messagepost?
Should I make a forum? I thought they were a convenience for the sellers; so I didn't bother. I never really thought about them being useful for the buyers.
If there's a big page of text that'll explain everything you can just link it and I'll read it.
Man, I thought I knew my stuff.

Yea a RP board is one you make in your own world. Most people don't bother making one cause it's kind of a hassle, and you some times can't interact with other species, or you have to sign up to use the board.
Personaly I just tell people that no there isn't one but you are more then welcome (and encouraged) to RP at the OMB in the RP section

Hmm, I bet you were asked that at Shivuez, correct? Most members there aren't involved with OMB, so in order for them to RP you're Rivets they'd have to join something or another.
But, yes, RP boards are usually a world in which buyers can role play a certain creature made by the owner of the site.
Personally, I think a Rivet RP board would go over nicely, as you're Rivets have obvious personalities, and RPing them would be quite a lot of fun. But that's only my opinion, which isn't worth much, lol

Well, I don;t use mine for RPing as much. I keep one for the TR because of all the species I make, there are like six there. They are small and I make them alot, and it is easier to keep track of all of my sales if I have my own board. Also, you can have a board to have people register their crits and that is also very convienient.
