I'm comptemplating opening a Paypal account, but the last time I looked into it (a couple years ago) I remember there being some tricks if you happen to be non-US based.
Any Canadian users of Paypal? Are the any hidden fees a US user wouldn't have? Any other warnings or things I should be careful of?
Thanks! ^_^

I'm a Canadian PayPal user ^_^
The only real 'trick' fee that I know of is that it costs something like 50 cents if you withdraw less than $150 to your bank account. Over $150, however, and there's no fees. The currency conversion is also pretty awful, because they take more fees off of that too. And if you want accept credit card payments, you have to upgrade to a 'premier' account, which takes a flat fee AND a percentage off of all the money you receive. If you stick with a personal account, you can only receive e-cheques and money from the other user's PayPal balance, but there are no fees. So unless you want to start paying fees on every payment you receive, make sure you don't select 'accept' when you receive a credit card payment!
Hope that helps ^_^

Thanks!
I don't intend on using it to receive money, only to spend, though its a good thing to know in case I do find some reason in which to get people to send me money ^.^
I noticed the currency conversion fee though, bleh. Good thing the Canadian dollar is getting stronger, but that 2.5% kind of knocks it back down again. Obviously most of the things to be bought out there are in the US. Ah well.
