Ok, so I want to improve my art, so I can get it to a standard where I can sell it. So I'm asking you, yes YOU to give me your thoughts on my works and tell me how I could improve, becaues I REALLY need to. I want to know how I can improve so that I can sell my art, and IF you would considder it. I am NOT asking you to request commsisons (unless you want to), I just want to know if my art is up to commision standard or not and how I could improve if it is not. Examples of my works can be found at my DeviantArt Account The most recent images which I really would appreciate if you took a look at and commented on: Dragon-ManTobiasSavin' Me - There is nudity in this image, but you see nothing, it is tastefull (giving the heads up, just in case ) You don't have to worry about the surreal stuff, as thoes are personal works (unless it interests you) So yeah, comments, either here or on DA are very appreciated, as I really am trying to get my art up to sell-able standard, so any comments will be helpful. Thank you for you attention. Please comment, I want to know what everyone thinks!

Hmm.. I like your style. It's very.. stylized. I would, however, reccomend that you use a reference when dealing with humanoid anatomy, just to solidify it a bit. Conversely, you could take a life drawing class. If you can get past the embarassment of it, I feel that a lot can be learned from them.
Very nice work! I really like your coloring style, especially on the dragon-man.

Thank you for the comment!
Yeah, I'm still relatively new at the human side of things. I have been to life drawing classes (that was last year though) and they did help. Next time my school runs them I will deffinately be attending.

I really should not try and give /you/ advice, but you asked for some...
I agree with Xenon. In the Savin' Me, the bum looks a tad pointy? But the wings are phenominal. Your shading is glorious! You do wings quite well. ^^

my one recommendation would be to start playing more with line width variation A discussion on an ezboard (mostly posting to give examples of artwork, but go ahead and read too if you want) www.spikescafe.com/crit/lineweight.htm

Teehee. Yeah, the angel does have a pointy butt, but I think that's an artifact of how the feathers of the wing cover him. The proportions are kind of wrong, he's got massive thighs...and only one leg, heh *g* And only one arm for that matter. Even though the picture is from the side, you should at least be able to see the other foot, I didn't notice the other arm can't be seen till I started writing about the foot. And though the wings are not realistic, they are gorgeous and unique. Though I've been drawing birds for a while now, I haven't mastered real feathers either.
Tobias seems to still be a sketch, not quite complete...I guess just missing detail.
Dragon man is cool, love the way you coloured him. As someone else put in the comments, if your dreams are as funky as the creatures you draw, they must be pretty wild ^_^
You could always try to find a human anatomy book. You can probably even find some on the web where they describe proportions...although its not generally your proportions that are off but rather the thickness of the limbs, not the lengths.

Thanks for the comment! Human proportions have always been an issue for me. In the ref pic I used, you can only see one arm.. but yeah, that other leg is missing. Gah! feathers are the bane of my exsistance, I just can't get them right. Yeah, I think I got lazy on Tobias, and was just happy to call it finished. haha I wish my dreams were! I'm glad you like him. Oh, I have a human anatomy type book, although, I don't think it goes into much detail on the proportions side, but plenty of photos and stuff, and I am trying to work on my humans and such. Again, thanks, every bit helps
