Blarg! Ok well...thats easily remedied...XD
HauntsApperence-
Well, seeing as they are ghosts...they...kinda look...like...ghosts. Usually white, though on very rare occations they can be a different color, which no one really knows why, but it is thought that the different colors may be a sign that either they are closer to completeing their 'afterlife mission' before succoming to the underworld for good, or that they are so consumed by it they litterally cant think of anything else. Usually they have no back legs, usually just a whisp, however...if they are an Omen, they can take on Corporeal form, and will look like a scarier version of their mortal state. If they are an orb...well...they look like ghostly orbs. And everyone knows what a corpse looks like XD; It is very rare to find a human haunt.
Habitat-
Haunts can live just about anywhere, however, they LOOOOOOOVE to cluster. So while the places in which they haunt might be few in number, there are usually Millions of Haunts in one area. It's said they prefer more rural areas, but they have been known to take up residence in urban areas as well.
Diet-
They don't eat
;. Some of the more Evil haunts eat souls. Other then that, nothing much.
Breeding-
Haunteds are the groupings Haunts make. But basically there is no REAL name for a group of ghosts, as...like I said before, they just tend to cluster in one place randomly, rather then an alpha rounding up a bunch of members for a group. So really their 'groups' are just the clusters that they make in a particular place. Most Groupings go by the name of "The Haunted BLAHBLAH". However, just because it isn't really an official group with stable members, doesnt mean that there isnt a pecking order, and other higher ranking Haunts are DEFINATLY unwelcome in another higher ranking Haunt's area.
Ranks from lowest to highest: Phantom, Will-o'-the-Wisp, Poltergeist, Omen.
The Omen is basically the 'main man/gal' of the Haunted. While it is also the stage in the life of a Haunt, not all Haunts assume this rank/stage in afterlife. They basically keep the order in the chaos that is the cluster of ghosts, and organize hauntings to get humans to get away from their dwellings. (After all, if to many humans see them, they disappear without having finished their mission! The only real acception to this rule are reds
; ). Poltergeists are a warrior equivelent in a clustering of Haunts. You can usually tell them apart from other creatures cause they hold objects to scare humans off with. (cause you know youd be scared crapless if you saw a baseball bat coming at you in the air). Despite the fact that everyone thinks all poltergeists are bad...even the semi evil ones are only looking out for the well being of all the other Haunts. Will-o-the-wisps is usually a temparary rank given to higher ranking orbs before they turn into Spirits. They like Poltergeists, help to lead people away from the haunted area. Will-o-the-wisps often become Poltergeists when they get older. And the regular normal populous is called Phantoms.
To be completely honest...Haunts don't really breed. They are 'birthed' from the death of their former life and disappear either by the hands of humans or having their mission in the afterlife completed and returning to Underworld. The only ones who can breed in the traditional sence are Omens, because they can take Corporeal form. An Afterlife Birth can have up to 5 orbs. These Haunts usually only have white or black eyes, as they have no real reason or mission for exsistance. They are usually the most lifeless of the bunch, and it is even rumored that they cant go to the underworld and they cant disappear from human contact. However, no one really knows if this is true.
Afterlife Stages-
Death- Basically...a corpse, or part of a corpse, there must at LEAST be a skull in order for a Haunt to begin.
Orb - Basically a 'hatchling' in a sence, they are the soul of the dead, not in its complete form yet.
Spirit- The usual final form of a Haunt. Take the shape of the creature they once were, though obviously look ghostly.
Omen- Very few attain this level. Basically this stage allows them to take corporeal form, and be around humans without much harm. Some famous examples of Omens are black dogs in graveyards, etc.
Missions-
The age old question with ghosts is, Why do they exsist after death? It is the belief of many that they have missions that they need to complete before they can have eternal life in the Underworld/Underverse. It is said that their eyes are an indication of what their missions are.
White/Black/Brown - No Mission
Red - Revenge (Often Poltergeists, Only Mission Type to be truely evil or close to)
Orange - Warning Others of Dangerous Situations/Worry for Other People
Yellow - Guardian Angel (usually assigned to something living, sometimes accompanied by a living creature)
Green - Need To Realize They Are Dead
Blue - Waiting for a Living Loved One To Pass On To Go To The Underworld With
Purple - Unknown Mission (Keep it to themselves)
