Just a head's up - June has just begun, which means I will owe a new batch of Fei'daqq within a few weeks. Only, I'm now hit with finals and the end-of-school wrap up and my time's short. I really do want to draw something right now, though... Hm. 1) Fei'daqq draw will occur within a week - possibly tomorrow or Friday. 2) The draw won't be open for very long - a day or three at most. 3) I'll only be doing one or two Fei'daqq from the batch; it depends on how much time I have. 4) It will be wild and extendeds. If you don't have your Fei'daqq up on pages yet, your chances of getting another are very, very slim. (It depends on how good my memory is that day) Since there will be extended breedings, I suggest you start gathering permissions. Keep in mind, I don't like doing siblings. If possible, I'd like a mare to only be used once. Herds(As usual, my herd is not open for breedings this round) RulesGeneral Info

I didn't notice mention of it in the rules, but I just want to check on breeding rules - do both parents have to be from the same herd?

Sorry, it's not in the rules because I figured it was a given. Lex - I'll have your translation to you by the end of the day. I have barely a minute to spare before my math homework is due. ;

Ok, I'm confused. (Wich just means I'm stupid...) So, when you do say its starting (in anotehr thread?) There ae two types of breeding, wild and extended. Is extended when you breed two from a herd? What is wilds? And, when you say permissions, does it mean that you cntact the person who has the Fei'daqq's you want and ask if you can breed them? Yes, I know I'm stupid...

Ahh... Lemme answer those questions one at a time.
So, when you do say its starting (in another thread?) -It will start within the next few days. I don't know when exactly. College is unforgiving in its workload. I expect to open it sometime Thursday, Friday, or Saturday. It will be posted on a new thread here on the Orchard in the announcements form.
There are two types of breeding, wild and extended. Is extended when you breed two from a herd? -Yes. "Extended" breeding is one in which you choose the parents from the existing "domestic" herds. (IE: Herds owned by people on my Herds list.)
What is wilds? -Wilds are unrelated to any currently adopted Fei'daqq. You would not know who the parents are. For a wild, all I need is a source of inspiration.
And, when you say permissions, does it mean that you contact the person who has the Fei'daqq's you want and ask if you can breed them? Yes. If the herd is "Closed" (IE: Permission is needed from the owners of the Fei'daqq in the herd), you need to e-mail the owner to get permission. The owner should then post that permission on the herd page, or send me a message to let me know.
If the herd is "Open" (Such as most of Silv's herds) permission is not required. It'd be nice to ask the owners anyway, just in case someone else wants to use the same Fei'daqq. (I prefer a mare not to be requested for a breeding by more than one person)
Also, like the last draw, I will allow people to ask for both a Wild and a Breeding. If they are picked, they'll get one of those. I'll explain that when I actually accept forms. --- Hypothetical Situation/Example: Bob owns Frilla and Kronk. Frilla is a mare, Kronk is a stallion. They are in Herd of Bob. The herd is Closed, and permission is needed to foster a foal.
If Adopter wants a breeding from Kronk and Frilla, Adopter e-mails Bob, ask permission nicely. Bob replies back saying "Yes" or "No." If Bob says yes, Adopter may sign the forms with Kronk as the father and Frilla as the mother. Bob then either e-mails me to let me know Adopter has permission OR Bob updates the Herd of Bob page with "Approved Adopters: Adopter Name"
If Bob says No, then Adopter must find another pair to ask permission from.
If Herd of Bob is an OPEN herd, meaning no permission is needed (The page should mention whether or not it's open permission), then Adopter does not have to ask Bob for permission and can sign the form with Frilla and Kronk without even saying a word to Bob. However, I think it's nice to know if a person intends to use a Fei'daqq for a breeding. It's not required, it's just nice to do.
For a Wild- The form will have a field marked "Inspire Me" or "Jewelry" or "Word" etc. Adopter puts in something which can inspire me when I draw. Other than that, the Fei'daqq is not related to any other, nor does it have any 'known' parents.
---------------
*scratches head* Yeah. Feel free to ask questions. My level of clarity seems to have gone out the window, and I don't realize that I'm confusing. Sorry about that.
Posion? Oh. Cusco's poison. The poison to kill Cusco. Cusco's posion. Gotcha ... LAMA FACE! *cough* totally not easily amused...
