OK, I'm trying to start up my first adoptions. *kicks computer, hoping it will help* I've been working on my first two, a small lizard-type one and a wolvey-type one. I was wondering, how big should I make them? Any advice?

Usually around 500x500 is around the biggest size you want to get. Basically just see how well it fits on a screen and use taht as your guide, or check the dimnsions of some critters you have.

*Agrees with Cel* Because I hand draw mine comp colored and hand, I try to draw them so I can get as many on a 8.5 X 11 inch paper scan them in and shrink em down. Comp colored I scan at 800 dpi then shrink down by 10. and with hand colored shirnk them down to 3 times their normal size. generally gets a good size and it fits on most computer screens.

Most people's computer screens are smallish; I always like something that can fit completely on a screen with some text without me having to scroll down. (I'm lazy)

Yep. if it can fit vertically in an IE window completely and about half the width of the window, I'm pretty happy with that. It means I don't have to use my spazzy layouts, which makes me a happy happy lilu. <3 ^^;

Well, the largest I will allow mine to be is 600px, because I do believe the smallest screen size is 800x600, so that leaves 200px for -- space? "Small" creatures... well those vary. For me, small is around 200px Width wise, usually 100-200px height wise. (This also depends on the pose, too.) Just be sure to crop the picture as closely to the critter as possible before looking at the demensions. Sometimes, people will have images that are 200x300px in an image that's 600x600px, because they didn't crop it! Good luck, drago
