*sheepish* Aie, sorry 'bout that. I wasn't sure if she was standing or flying. I assumed flying, since she looks off balance. In that case, maybe add a little more weight to the one foot on the ground, and perhaps make a difference between the foot in the air (which holds no weight) and the foot on the ground (which is the only thing supporting her). At the moment, they look like carbon copies of each other. And I still think it'd be nice if she weren't so stiff, but that's a personal preference. G'luck!

*must. stop. distracting. herself.* OK, here goes nothing- First thing I noticed is that she has no chin, and her jaw line is al little undefined. I believe you're using the hair to cover up the rest of her face/head/chest, since those parts are rather hard to draw. (I agree, which is why I don't draw humans.) From what I can tell, though, I think her neck is a little too long. (Which I might be wrong, though) The hair looks rather nice, but I'm curious as to what's holding it back? A loose tie at some sort near the base of the head (Where the hair changes direction) might help that. Ah... Wings. I <3 Wings, but they're a pain to draw. You may do well to look at some wing diagrams. ( 1 2) Her hands and feet are too small. Hands should be approximately the size of the face, although a little bit smaller. Feet are the same length as the forearm. Her legs are good, but it looks like she's standing... sorta. Maybe add some bend in the straight leg, or in her spine even. People curve in very interesting ways, especially if they're not on the ground. She looks very stiff. The flower is nice, but again, a refrence might be useful. The stem looks a little too thick and unmarked. Stems have detail too, even if it's just a couple of odd patches of color or a few kinks here and there. >.> <.< *sneaks away*

*de-lurks momentarily* Hmhm. I really, really like the eyes, amulet, and lantern, but I've got a weakness for glowy things. The grass/reeds bother me a little bit. They seem too bright for the 'night' setting. Also, what's the light source for them? They seem to glow at random angles. It might be advantageous to put the ones farthest from either the lantern/amulet/eyes in shadow, and illuminate the others. The rock also has the same curious light source. There's no shadow under the dragon (Fireeyes is a dragon? I think?). If the shadows on the creature are black, then there should be a black shadow on the ground, too. (I admit, though, dark black shadows might be too harsh.) But since there's no really, really dark patch under Fireeyes, it looks like he's floating. For the water - I think the reflections of the light could be brightened on the water, or extended somehow. (I'm thinking of how light reflects on water, like this.) Also, the night sky has a gradient color to it - lighter on the horizon and darker the farther up you go. Right now, your night sky looks like a back-drop. ( This) With a gradient, the stars get a little harder to see near the horizon. Your anatomy is great, and I can't see anything to comment on as far as line art. Good luck in the contest! Hope this helps.

Nope. I haven't heard of those either, but it sounds like what happened to the Drigus and the erm... Little dragons, where people would either create their own version of a species and adopt them out or use graphics made by one person for their own clutches.

*scratches head, again* Yah see, my grasp of the English language lacks the ability to figure out what exactly any "ing" word is. I checked Dictionary.com and running seems to be everything but a verb. It was actually the first one I thought of. Is a present participle still a verb? ; Somehow I thing this has gone far out of its original context. eh-heh... I loved Coyol's work. I haven't seen her around, though, so I'm pretty sure she's left for good. Edit: Skyhaven or Miracle's ODA? I think I've heard of Skyhaven, but the other one is completely foreign to me.

Linguistics - study of speaking/language use/words in context... Meh. Bleh. Snore. I'd rather be doing Calculus.
And home quizzes really do suck. But, heck, I have a few hours to write, oh, 3 paragraphs on the theories of human sacrifice, so it's rather interesting. Yup... I'm so writing my little essays. Not procrastinating. Nope...
"riding bikes" would be a verb + noun, and I'm not sure if there's a single verb out there that would alone fit the sentence. Which was why I was scratching my head trying to figure one out. I couldn't come up with any.
My favorite adoption agency? Hands down a certain feline agency, but in addition to that - Moonsung Wolves, K'd, Pah'llocks, Paints. And a gryphon agency owned by Coyol.

Ummm... lesseee.... who likes [insert random verb here] and why? *scratches head when looking up from Linguistics homework* *rereads* ...Wouldn't a noun go there, not a verb? Or... *blinks* Or maybe I'm not thinking straight. *steals a donut hole*

Congrats! And welcome back! XD
Your water coloring skills are enviable. *envies - greenness* I love how fragile the wings seem, and the faint pattern on the cloth in the background. ;D
