holy crap. it took forty-five minutes, lots of yelling and stripping the pond of nearly all the water-plants, but we caught the little devil! now he's in the fish tank with the "smaller" koi who are all still like, HUGE. i swear cheyenne is eyeing him like he's dessert, but he's too big to eat, he's about the size of a goldfish. this is the best pic of him that i have so far ^^; #nosmileys

^^ yeah dad had the net and suddenly mom starts yelling "he's right here below me!" and dad couldnt see because of the glare on the water, so we had to instruct him to follow the fish and then pull the net up REALLY QUICK.
then getting him in the tank was fun because its on a shelf that's taller than i am o_x mom held the net open and turned it and put my hand over the fish so he wouldnt flop again.
i really hope no one eats him ^^; i'm way to paranoid.

Wow, that sounds way hard. O.o
I bet he'll be okay. When we were first starting up our tank we had these two itty-bitty dannios, and I was really scared they'd get eatten. They didn't though. (Now they're big enough I worry about them eatting the baby guppies. ^_^ It's hard not to worry, isn't it?)

Yeah it really is ^_^ But mom said that he was swimming around with rest of the pack now, so I'm not too worried. When mom saw him, she was like "looks like he's just a goldfish!" :P but he has the same fin-pattern and we havent had gold fish like, all summer so i'm not worried hehe.
he's just so liiittle heheh.
i'll have to get pictures of everyone later ^^

*giggles* "when we grow up?" XD
you should! they're awesome. they can take some maintenance, especially if you bring home a fish that's carrying a disease, but they're great to sit by and stuff ^_^ and the fish are sweet.

but they only get as big as their environment will let them. our's are still less than a foot long, though some are getting there ^^;

yes ^_^
went to check on him today and he's doing fine, he's such a attention-hog! XD when you walk up to the tank he just swims straight at you and stares at you heeh <333
we put another of our koi in the tank with him, because the tub we have them in is too full. this fish we call "pucker" because we've noticed that when he eats he has to roll on his side and that his mouth is screwed up, but we never knew HOW it looked. well i was looking at him closely and it looks like the sides of his mouth grew IN, so his whiskers kind of come out of the sides of his mouth. he looks really weird, becauase of this deformaty, but we're not worried because we've had him for years and he eats okay ^^ and as he gets bigger it'll be easier for him to eat too.
