I'm so hoping for a triple crown winner today. There hasn't been one in 26 years, and there are none alive today.
Anyone else think he can win it? He's already shown he can run rain or shine. This one is looking to be another mudding day.

The butterflies are doing the macarena in my stomach. I'm staked out with my race snacks and the laptop watching the undercard. Nervous as heck, because I'd kill for the chance to see a Triple Crown win...
... but last year I just didn't think it would happen, didn't think that Funny Cide could do it after that runaway victory in the Preakness and his scorching workout four days before the race. This year, I think Smarty Jones is the mnost legitimate Triple Crown hopeful I've seen since Charismatic.
I hope he can do it.

I hope so too, it would be so awesome. Especially since he's undefeated in any race that he's run in so far.
