Whoops, I should check the board more often here. ^^;;
I'm actually not as keen on playing anyone in this RP, much as it looks amusing, since Final Fantasy Advent Children is due out at some point, which will also take place sometime after Meteor.... Mmm..... Sephiroth clones, bwahahahaaaaaa. XD
So I'm a tad on toss up from actually playing, though I am so very good at being evil. >3 Especially Sephiroth's brand of psychotic-evil.

Nah, they never had planned on aerith coming back... although if you go into the church after she is dead You can catch a glimpse of her ghost right when you enter XD

I read FF: The Spirits within or something like the title based off of the movie. Now is it the same as the movie?

There is a Gameshark code which can revive Aeris into your party I believe, but she will no longer level up and will be ghost-like in appearance. So I'm told. This is a glitch code and is not available in the normal game. (In the same manner, you can edit Sephiroth into your party, but he takes the place of Vincent for some reason in your roster of characters.)
Final Fantasy: The Spirits Within was scripted by the same people that did FF7 and thus similarities are rather obvious.
There -is- a Final Fantasy 7 movie coming out, a continuation two years after Meteor, called Final Fantasy: Advent Children, which has some seriously awesome new characters for villains - Kadaj, Yazoo, and Loz, all three of which appear to be variant Sephiroth clones. RAWR. There are also running theories that Sephiroth will be returning to the storyline outside of just being in flashbacks, but everything is unproven rumor right now as the movie hasn't been released in Japan yet.

yeah, the gameshark codes that do those things are very glitchy though and can really mess up your game... hehe although I found one once that would turn all of your characters into cloud XD makes it crash after afew minutes but it was kinda funny >.>;
