Considering Aeris/Aerith (Arise?) is dead before Meteor.... Well, she's have to have a painfully good reason to be back from the dead.
I'd join something like that (I'd kill to be Sephiroth, literally.... -_-) but not without knowing a premise of time/setting/plot, etc. @_@

And Sephiroth is also dead about the time of meteor... (well fully dead... again ) I'm pretty much guessing its going to have a different plot... if there is a set one >.>;

Err... well that didn't exactly answer the questions ^_^;; what we were wondering was the setting,
Ie: After meteor or before...
If there is going to be some sort of plot or not... that kind of thing.

Well, If we are following the main plot at all it would have to be awhile before meteor because otherwise Aeris would be dead...
If its not following the plot then it doesn't really matter XP
If you wanted it to be after meteor and after midgar was destroyed you could say something along the lines of the white materia wanting to bring back the cetra and reviving aeris along with some other ones ( Like the messed up ones in the other land ) and well sephiroth, Who knows if he can actually be killed... everytime his spirit just merged with energy and came back in a slightly different form... I'd imagine that the white materia would probably change him back to normal ( ish ) though after what happened...
*Shrugs* you really have to decide though, If you need anything explained or something along those lines you can ask...
