mk, i'm painting a christmas ornament for my dad, and it'll have a picture of one of our koi on it. but i want to paint the japanese symbol for koi on it, but i cant seem to find it! can anyone help me? :x thaaanks. <3333

There's a repeated symbol in the second column (the koi column) which I'm assuming Is "koi". Hope that helps.

I think that's the word "koi" as in "love." Just like all those really stupid fanfic people try to use Japanese by making their characters call each other "koi" which is their attempt, I think, to make a nickname out of the word "lover." >_>

Unless koi-love is the same character for koi-fish? I wouldn't know.

I have no idea if they have different symbols for koi-fish vs. koi-love. We need like Jess-chan or DF in here. I think Ann-chan did some Japanese or Chinese symbols as well.

*gets the brilliant idea to ask one of her semi-friends who is In Japanese class to try to look it up for her in one of her books or ask in class.*

Heh I dont think they would be the same character XD Though if all else fails I'll just go with that. My dad won't know the difference and we love our koi-fish :P
