So if you want to enter your Asrire, Qualirons, or Kiezo in their respective race contests, you have another day left to do it!
~*~*~
Transition times, like equinox and the switch from one year to another, are celebrated by the Asrire, because such times reflect their own abilities to move through time and space. The time between the longest day of the year and new years (both lie at roughly the same time as our own) was a two week long festival of sorts. Such celebrations were usually kept strictly within their own species, but this year one of the Kiezo learned of it....
So, the Kiezo got hold of the Asrire celebrations idea, and slapped it together with a somewhat mixed up rendition of Christmas and New Years celebrations (picked up from visitors to the realm), and decided that the realm should throw a wild party.
The Asrire, although somewhat miffed that their sacred celebration had been pre-empted, eventually gave in with good grace. They didn't want to miss out on the party. The Kiezo talent for utter chaos would probably make for a truly interesting time. ( Hopefully it would also keep the Kiezo too busy to interfere in the serious part of their own customs. )
So now the Asrire's equinox celebrations have become an entire Realm- Festival, and everyone's invited!
~*~*~
What does this mean in plain english? I'll be doing Asrire breedings, along with various games for Kiezo, Asrire, and Qualirons starting New Years Eve and running for two weeks. I may also have a couple of contests running, depending on the interest. Prizes range through breeding and wilds, to custom critters.
The festival will be held primarily on my board, so as not to clutter up the orchard too much.... Entries for the various race contests close on January 4th, so get them in if you plan to enter!
