Hey guys! Check out my newest addition to my model horse stables.... Rimfire! dragonneo.com/~ldybrooklyn/showoffs/Rimfire/Fully etched... Yes I scratched each of those little hairs into his paintjob! And I went in yesterday and added another layer or two of pastels to redefine his muscles... and I darkened his back and around his legs a little. LMK what you all think of him! He'll probably be making his showring debut at the end of January at Desert Wind Classic in Phoenix. Obviously I can show him as a mustang... but does anyone else have some more 'creative' breed ideas? ~Lauren aka Lady Brooklyn

~LOL~ Thanks guys. I would be spending all of my time and money on the real thing... if I had the real thing. Kinda hard when you live on a third floor apartment. Some day though... ^.^

Yfael.... I know... I AM insane! I'm the one that etched him! ~LOL~ My eyes were bugging out of my head... let me tell you! But it was worth it... so far I've gotten a lot of great comments on him. With any luck he'll the first Grand Champion I've painted when I take up up to Desert Wind Classic... And I HIGHLY recommend customizing model horses... so much fun! I love painting them fantasically (decorator horses is their name in the hobby) So many possibilities! Especially when you can paint them... sell them... then buy the more expensive 'Artist Resins' (which is what Rimfire is...)... really limited and expensive... O.o Makes it worth it though!

Oh, Wow, Lady B! He's Awesome!!! ^__^ Thanks so much for showing him off to us!
*shakes head* I don't know that I'd ever have the patience to do something like that. It's quite amazing.

LOL believe me Silv... I barely did! I got to his belly... and couldn't quite decide how ht hair flowed... asked my Aunt (she had a horse a long time ago... and thankfully knew...) And then the tool I was using refused to stay sharp enough. O.o it was annoying! But I finished him... and on the 30th... he will strut his stuff at Desert Wind Classic. ^.^ Hopefully he'll win!
::hugs Lex:: Thanks man. But I doubt he's the coolest thing. ^.^ Though he is one of my best...

I've been trying to get my hands on some SMs but they're rarer than hen's teeth at the moment...it's times like this I wish they sold Breyers in Australia...
