Hey Rhiannon - I'm heading over to the States in the middle of the year - maybe I can get you some.
I'd like to do some customising but I also want to do so many other things >_<
Lady Brooklyn - I have a Remington model with a crack in his hind leg - right up on the inside of the thigh - from being left in a hot trunk for a year and a half.
Can you give me any customising advice on him? What do I need to do to change leg poses etc.
And do you have any before- and after pictures of your work ^_^
I've almost finished applying for the summer camp again ^_^

I haven't actually TRIED moving legs much... minor moves you can make on Breyers (and some resins) with a heat gun... slowly heat the plastic/resin until it's pliable. Major changes... you usually have to cut off the leg, and either sculpt or reattach a new one... I should show you some of Jen Danza's articles in JAH magazine... interesting stuff. As for fixing Remington... you probably want to get some two part sculpting epoxy (I have a sample here. ^.^ I could send you a chunk... or give you a chunk when you get out here... But check this site out: www.gapoxio.com/You might email and ask them if they'll send you a sample to try... I did... and I still have a lot of it. ^.^ Sent it to me FREE! Not so many Before and After pics... cause most of them are blank resins that I paint (like Rimfire I didn't change him...) But I will post some if I get to repositioning/resculpting. ^.^ hopefully soon! YEAH! Breyerfest in July/August! Gonna be here DH? we could go together. ^.^ Can't really drag Bob to it. ^.^ I have info on BreyerFest... could get ya a ticket... ^.^ |

If you're going..I command you two to take lots of photos ;D Well I don't think that that will be a problem! ^.^ With any luck I'll be going with some friends... and I will take MOUNDS of pics! When I went to the North Rim of the Grand Canyon a year ago... I took 5 rolls of film... and 10 floppy disks (with roughly 20 pics on a disc) full of pics!  Oh... and Sunblind... I figured that you got booted. ::growls at AOL:: evil thing! |
