Well, I don't think you can really go wrong with a few writing classes. It's always a good thing to polish up your writing skills and if you really enjoy it then I think it's probably worth it. ^_^
I would like to know a lot more about Korea, unfortunately my classes usually cover China and Japan much more thoroughly than Korea. Still, I do get to learn a few interesting things here and there. I like learning about most Asian countries in general, though, so I don't really mind.
It's always sad when traditions and cultures die out. I think a lot of them are fascinating so it's a shame that that sort of thing happens. I think it's probably a natural part of the evolution of society, though.

That's what my Creative Writing teacher keeps telling me... and what I keep trying to tell myself. It's just hard when you get this close. I really only have another year and a half of classes, and then student teaching. But with the added classes, that gives me at least one more semester... which in all reality doesn't take too long, but still... Yeah, I always like when you get to delve deeper into a culture and find out its secrets and quirks. Yeah... when I lived in California, I was always very jealous of the culture of all my Mexican friends. they got to wear those bright, pretty dresses and do special dances of their culture. What was I doing? Well, I did take some ballet classes, but it just didn't seem as culturally significant somehow. Yeah, things fade away. And we all take little pieces of the cultures to make our own, so somethings stay... like snikerdoodles. Hehe... that's always what Mom would make for "culture" days at school. Said they were norweigan or German. Who knows.

Yeah, I understand. There was a point when I thought I would have to take an extra semester and I wasn't really too keen on doing that since sometimes you just want to wrap it all up neatly. Fortunately, a few changes in the system made it so some of my classes counted for credits that I didn't have.
I do some times feel envious of people who are able to share certain cultural traditions, even my own. There are a lot of Korean students in my classes that have Korean parents so they speak Korean and know a lot about Korea. But I was adopted so I don't know any Korean and I can't really share that with them which sometimes makes me feel out of place.
Sometimes my mom tells me about her ancestors who were apparently European royalty or something close to it. It makes me really curious about my biological ancestory sometimes but there really isn't anyway for me to find out. I do have a traditional Korean hanbock, although now I'm too big to wear it. Besides, it's like a neon pink. XD

Yeah, we'll see what happens. I may just take this one class and forget about the rest, maybe find an online community where serious writers can crtique me and stuff. Yeah. Once when I was working in the Library, this lady with a german accent came in looking for books on German to help her kids learn it. I was like, "Teach me!" My Great-Grandmother's parents came from Germany, and as far as I know, she never spoke a lick, as they say. That's cool! We found a Charles Dickens in my ancestry... don't think he's THE Charles Dickens, but still related. Pretty cool, I thought. Heheh... all the traditional European garb is pretty rediculous looking, but if I ever get over there, I'm buying something for sure. Well... I gotta go pick my Mom up from work, so I'll see ya. Thanks for talking to me. It was fun. Or you can go ahead and reply... I'm not sure how long I'll be.

See you later. Hopefully we'll have more chances to talk again another time. Likewise, I enjoyed our conversation. I also have to pop off to pick up my brother. *flitters off*
