It always intrigued her how things could change so suddenly from one moment to the next. For instance, there was the wide plains of the Orchard, totally still one moment, then caught by a gust of wind the next. The dragon's feathered wings lay flat against her neck, and she found herself shivering. She was not large, and only the tips of her ears (once they rose again) and her wings could be seen as she wove her way through a patch of tall grasses, small peeks of blue through the seemingly endless sea of old yellow stems. When she reached a tree, she rose into its tall branches, her pink eyes scanning the horizon. She had been told that many creatures roamed these plains (even some Tsumes, apparently), but on this morning it seemed a lie. Nothing stirred, or at least nothing she could see from her perch. She should have invited her sister to come. At least then she might have a little warmth or some kind of company.. ((anything is welcome <3))

The still silence was suddenly broken by a faun playing a lute and singing out in a fair voice.
Kind friends and companions, come join me in rhyme Come lift up your voices in chorus with mine Let us drink and be merry, all grief to refrain For we may and might never all meet here again!
He was a small creature stand just barly over five feetw ith olive colored skin and chocolate brown fur. Wearing an off-white and somewhat stained shirt that was one size too big and a faded patched green vest.
Here's a health to the company and one to my lass Let us drink and be merry all out of one glass Let us drink and be merry, all grief to refrain For we may and might never all meet here again!

The slender neck rose and ears perked as the strains of song met the half-sleeping dragon. She peered between the thin branches of the tree, eagerly seeking whatever it was - In her home, music was a very important part of everyday life, and she wanted to find whoever it was. Gracefully she dropped from the tree, her movements cat-like in their smoothness, landing on all four feet before prowling forward.
She raised her neck high before spotting the small brown and oddly humanoid creature, pink eyes narrowing slightly. This was nothing she recognized, and as such, she could not determine if he would be friend or foe.
Rather than simply calling out to him, however, she began slinking forward, the vivid marine tones of her short fur making her impossible not to notice. Obviously, the thought that it might look like she was hunting him never crossed her mind.

There was something else out there that had, for the moment, remained hidden. It's colouring provided a perfect camouflage for the tall grasses and such. He was stalking the big blue thing however and if anyone saw him could probably recognize this fact... Of course they also probably would have laughed since he was also rather... Small and scrawny looking, but he was very fast and soon he knew he'd catch his prey! he would need to find a bigger jar if he planned on keeping her though, he realized before tossing the one he had been trying to catch butterflies in aside. Then he thought about it, and picked it back up... It didn't seem likely, but maybe he could catch her in with it! Hmmm.... It was worth a shot atleast. So he prepared to rush out once he could find the opportune moment. (( www.geocities.com/thalron2002/Adopted/p1065m.gif ))

Here's a health to the dear lass that I love so well Her style and her beauty, sure none can excel There's a smile upon her countenance as she sits on my knee Sure there's no one in in this wide world as happy as we!
The faun continued to sing. He was totally absorbed into his music that he was only half a aware (as usual) of what was going on around him. Completely oblivious that the fact he had an audience.

As the smallish dragon gets close to the faun, her ears perk in surprise at the sound of the tune he sings, now familiar to her. She opens her mouth slightly, her voice almost inaudible at first, the words beginning to drift from her, just loud enough to be heard when she reaches the height of the singing.
Our ship lies at harbor, she's ready to dock I hope she's safe landed without any shock If ever we should meet again by land or by sea I will always remember your kindness to me
Then once more, her voice trails off, ears flattening slightly as there was no way the faun could have missed her short interlude. Her pink eyes, however, shine with a mild amusement. She never expected to find anyone who knew the song her mother had sung to her and her sister when they were young, especially not one of such.. foreign appearance.

Aha! that was the moment he was looking for, while she was singing along with the... Thingy! May'cal would finally be able to catch something more interesting than butterflies, or dragonflies (or neccos), then he'd be famous or something, and everyone would be forced to give him candy or stuff! he was glad that his friend had suggested going out and trying to catch a real big and scary dragon... Although that friend never did really give him very good advice...
"Rawrararar!" he squeeked/roared at the tsume before leaping out at her, dropping the jar because he forgot that he had to hold it with his teeth, and well... It was hard to do that while rawr-ing and leaping... He also was not so good at leaping and rather than land on the other and attempt to hold on, was more likely to just slam against her side... It was a good thing he probably only weighed a couple pounds.

The faun stoped in his tracks and spun around. His right ear twitched (which was rather a silly thing to see) as his wide amber eyes stared right into the pink eyes of a dragon!
The faun was both surprised by the dragon's singing and the fact that the blue dragon knew the song. The same one his grandfather used to sing at faun parties.
"By the Golden Tail of the Great Centaur!" Was all he could say. For at that moment he caught sight of another creature...
