Barely big enough to be noticed, the tiny samanayr foal shuffles along, blinking at its surroundings. Oddly, it seems to be alone - and perhaps a bit weary looking. It moves up to a leaf, pawing at it to help move the dewdrops to the tip, whereupon it laps at the water.

Sliver of the Broken Prism sprawled unashamedly upon the grass, his tattered wings lying across the ground on either side of him, front hooves resting lightly on his chest. It was a warm day, at least for winter, and he reveled in the feel of the sunlight against his skin, drawing the ache from the old scars that cris-crossed his frame.
The stallion sighed, lying with eyes half-closed, resisting the urge to scratch at the twin strands of hair that grew from behind his ears. He had been letting it grow again, the rainbow color beginning to show, though the hair was yet unbound. Perhaps one day, but not for a long while yet. It was enough to lie here in the rare winter sun, thinking of nothing, not even of.. her.
(oops, just realized I forgot to upload his image!)

Done lapping, the baby paws an ear as if it itched. Blinkblink. o.o!! The tiny colt gawps briefly at the larger samanayr nearby. Shuffling on tiny feet, it makes its way over - surprisingly quiet, considering - and eyes those two rainbow tufts.
Then, uncerremoniously, it grabs and tugs on one. Pretty!

Something tugging on one of his tufts jerked Sliver unceremoniously from his doze. "An attack!" he shrilled, surging to his feet and tossing his head wildly, in an effort to dislodge his attacker. Whatever it was let go almost immediately, and the Lamanayr arched his back and made a peculiar hissing noise, prepared to deal with his attacker.
Memories of the colosseum flashed through his mind, though Sliver tried to ignore them. His heart pounded as he recalled the battles, the charge and clash of bodies, the sprays of blood and dust and sweat, the sweet taste of an opponent's flesh.. let this opponent come to him! The Lamanayr shrilled a challenge and looked quickly around, seeking the one who attacked him.

!!!! The pretty things were attached to something large and loud!.... and MAD! The colt tumbles head over hooves through the air and lands in an unceremonious heap at Sliver's front hooves. With legs splayed in every direction and eyes still swirling in its skull, it offers a little... "peep?"

It took a moment for that pitiful peep to register. Sliver glared down at the source of the noise, apparently directly before him, still prepared to charge and attack..
..and it was only a foal. A rather pitiful foal, at that, lying in a heap, large black eyes wide and fearful. Sliver froze, confused now. This couldn't be what had attacked him, could it? This little thing?

As its vision restabilized from the impact, the colt blinks up at the towering Sliver. Indeed, the foal is pitiful, with slightly visible ribs and a gaunt face. It rubbed its nose on its front leg, then peers up at Sliver with a look of expectant fear. "....p...eep?"
Was the big angry one goign to eat it? D:

With a snort, Sliver turned his head away from the foal and tried to relax his now-tense muscles. To think that a foal could set him off like this! Perhaps he was not as well as he had thought..
Sliver glanced at the foal, taking in its thin ribs and gaunt face, both odd for a foal that should be at the roliest-poliest stage in its life. Odd, but not his concern. With another snort, he backed up a step and then turned from the foal, heading off in search of a new place to bask in the sun. Preferrably a foal-free spot.

Another blink. Hm. Fascinating!
Getting its wobbly legs back under it, it bobs along behind Sliver. Maybe the big scary thing will eat something, or.. or.. let it tug on the pretties again! It doesn't seem at all dissuaded by the earlier tumble and seems content to be in a duckling-follow mode behind the larger Sliver.

Sliver lashed his tail slightly as he walked. It was strange to see such a little one without a parent in sight, let alone one that seemed so malnourished. But it again, it was not his concern, and he would do his best to forget about it and just enjoy the day.
Though the little colt did remind him of someone.. but he shook his head and tried to banish the though from his head. Nice day. Enjoy. Warm. Those should be his only thoughts for the moment.
It took a minute or so for Sliver to realize that he was being followed. A quick glance over his shoulder confirmed that the foal was still following him. The Lamanayr twitched an ear in irritation and came to a stop - perhaps the foal was just following his path by coincidence, and would continue past him.

Shuffle, shuffle, shuffle.... oh. The little one stopped a nose's length from Sliver's tail. It plopped down into a sitting position, waiting patiently for the larger one to start moving again. Absently, it rubbed its nose once more, peering up at Sliver. "peep?"

(sorry, had actual work to do - at work XD Gasp!)
Sliver waited for a couple seconds, and when the foal did not pass on by, he took another look. Hmm, nothing there this time. Though that peep had sounded very close by..
By shifting his position slightly, Sliver realized that the foal had been there the whole time, nearly hidden behind the tatters of his wings and the thick, regrown hair of his tail. The Lamanayr frowned at the foal, moving so that he was facing it and so that the foal could not hide behind his tail.
"Go away," Sliver demanded, flicking a wing as he spoke.

A completely blank look fills the foal's features. But hey! The big one's not eaten him yet! Bonus!
It wiggles its ears and looks positively delighted at the attention. Tiny usless wings stretched with enthusiasm as the colt agreed with Sliver wholeheartedly! "Peep!!" Yea!
