Mahu stared at Aniol for a long moment, as though trying to discover if this was some sort of joke or trick, but Havrani's fear was nearly solid in the air around them. Alrighty, then. "Circle up," the Fire ordered without hesitation, adding Rastko in with their numbers as well. A Warriour that had basically gone berserk. That was just fantastic.
Natalya found herself standing beside Rastko and she gave him a shy glance. "Hallo, Rastko. I'm Natalya. My friend is Mahu-ike. This is all. . . very unexpected." Sometimes the Earth female was very good at stating the obvious.
-----
He could smell Her; She was near. She wasn't alone, but that was no longer unusual. Originally he had only tried to catch Her alone, but his Need was driving him crazy and it didn't matter anymore, he just had to be near Her, had to chase away the scent of others and make Her his again. He keened Her name on the wind, the sound ghostly and strange. It didn't fit the picturesque setting of their surroundings, but he was oblivious to the disparaty. He was oblivious to everything but finding Her again.

Aniol closes the circle, keeping the Trance in the middle of the protective grouping. At the keening sound, his ears perk - That had sounded like her name, hadn't it? "Keep alert," he says in a low voice, mind racing to whatever plan he might have.
Havrani continued to shiver, her eyes closed. Her mind was full of memories of her crimson love, from times before he had been injured, memories of warmth, curling in close to him as she slept, and memories of waking in the night, of blood and pain -
The stream was cut off when she hears her name, her breathing quick. "Please, leave.. Find help, don't die for me." she whispers, pacing as much as she can inside the circle.

Rastko backpeddled a couple of steps in his place in the circle, ears back in clear disapproval.
"Well met, Natalya, Mahu-ike." He tried to keep the tightness out of his voice, even as his displeasure at the unwanted and sudden shift in plans itched at sense of propriety and his physical senses quivered for a sign of their anticipated assailant.
The hunter had only the barest idea of the situation at hand, but the notion of a male attacking his mate was terribly distasteful and just incredibly wrong. He was no warrior, but he was strong and fast, and his basic code of ethics had a thing or two to say to this rogue warrior.

Mahu inclined her head briefly and swiftly to Rastko, unaware of his thoughts but likely to agree heartily. She was, however, more concerned about keeping their number full and uninjured in the face of this unusual and strange threat.
Natalya glanced up at the Earth male then looked back away shyly at the anger along his brow. Not that she didn't concur as well, but her thoughts ran to the danger and likely injuries. She couldn't help but thank the stars that she was a skilled Healer; at least she had the potential of being helpful. Though it would be better if they could just settle their differences.
-----
The large red form slunk through the brush, quivering slightly at Her smell heavy on the wind, so close. . . so very, very close. He Needed Her and She was just there! Just beyond the wooded barrier! Brilliant red eyes stared hard and fast past the vibrant green leaves surrounding him and sticking in his scraggled mane. He inched forward on his belly, eyes scanning the strange circle of gryvern, looking for Her. He could smell Her! He could feel Her! She had to be right. . . . . . . there. There She was. His gaze drank in the sight of the female and he inched futher forward on his belly as a deep sigh sprang from his prone form. "Havrani. . . . . .. Havrani. . . " he was crooning again, head and shoulders well in sight now. "Why did you leave me? Havrani. . . "

"M.." Havrani is frozen in place at the appearance of the male, her expression one of someone completely torn. It had been so long since she had even laid eyes on he whom she had loved so, and here he was, appearing so.. repentant? So weak? "Mikhael.."
Aniol's eyes flash slightly, and he moves a step closer to the terrified female. He senses a slight desire from her, a need to move closer to the deranged Mikhael. Where she sees a move of repentance, he sees only a terrifying thing.
"You.. you hurt me, Mikhael." Havrani whimpers, ears and wings pressed flat against her body. Oh, how badly she wishes she had the strength - insanity? - to move closer to his prone figure..

Small head wings twitch at the sound of her voice and his ears go flat as his body begins to shake and tremble from nose to tail. He inches forward again, not coming too close to the dangerous looking group. "Havrani," he continues to croon at Her. "Havrani, I Need you. . . . Havrani. . . "
Mahu-ike stares at their adversary with suspicion and surprise. The crazy Warriour was large, though a bit on the thin side. The muscle of a fighter still lay across the ripped and scarred hide, however, and the Fire didn't want to take a chance with this one if they couldn't avoid it.
Mikhael seems oblivious to the inspection, red eyes fixed on the star-lit blue female. His shaking grew a little harder and he tilted his head towards Her.

Rastko involuntarily backed up yet another step, appalled at the ghoulish form worming out of the foliage.
"What - " he pronounced in disgust. " - is that?"
He bent his head, lowering his antlers threateningly.

When Rastko lowers his head, Havrani cries out. "Don't! Please, don't hurt him!" she lets out a slightly choked keen of sorrow, her eyes glazed at the sight of her once proud mate.
Aniol hisses at her, stepping in her path as she attempts to break free of the group. "Havrani! He is not the Mikhael you knew!"
She does not respond, but leaps over the head of the Air in one desperate manuver. Her need to hold and calm her mate's madness had completely overwhelmed her, but even outside of the tight circle she lingers back. The memory of the pain of her wing holds her there, but she whispers soothingly to him. "Mikhael.. please, Mikhael.. hold yourself. Do not hurt them, they will try to help. I cannot bear to see you like this."

Mahu gives a low growl as Havrani breaks their protection for her; perhaps both of them were crazy. The Fire is uneasy, afraid to make a move towards the Trance pair in case one or both of them felt driven to react.
"I don't want to hurt anyone," Mikhael whines towards her, inching closer still on his belly. "Why do you always leave me? Havrani, I need you. . . . I need you, Havrani." His tail twitches suddenly, lashing back and forth the remaining straggled strands. "I don't want anyone else but you, Havrani. . . . why did you leave me?" The Trance male twisted his head and neck the other way, baring his throat to her in a sign of near submission.

Rastko growled deep in his throat, but stayed further action. He didn't - couldn't - understand this level of interdependence bewteen the two mates. He knew as well as anyone that once you mated, you mated for life, but this? This was madness.

"Then don't.. don't hurt anyone anymore, Mikhael. I'm.. I'm afraid to be close to you right now." Somehow, Havrani continues to creep closer to the male, totally unsure of how to interpert his actions. She is close to him now, but she is trembling wildly, standing tense and ready to flee at the slightest movement.
"What the devil is she doing..?" Aniol whispers, standing where he is but looking like he is ready to act in an instant. He glances at the other three Gryvern, wondering what he should do or say. "Natalya. Havrani has told me that he was injured while exploring, and that is the suspected cause of the madness. I am guessing it is linked to the head wound." He glances back at the Warriour and his mate, tail lashing in agitation. "Can anything be done?"

"I don't mean to," Mikhael keens at her, inching just a tiny bit closer again. Oh, Her scent was heavenly. He wanted to touch Her, to possess Her again. "I missed you, Havrani. I just want to be near you; that's all I ever want. Don't leave me alone, don't leave me alone in that awful darkness. . . Havrani. . . " he's whimpering now, eyes still steady on her.
Mahu had an answer, but Aniol might be offended by it, so she remained silent. Natalya tilted her head slightly, watching the strange show before them. "I. . . I don't know. I'd have to touch him to find out. I'm not able to distant read wounds." She sent him an apologetic glance before her gaze was drawn, almost irresistably, back to the mates across the way from them. She didn't want to say that she was afraid to go near him, but the Trance frightened her through her very being. A small shudder shook her earth-toned hide.

Frowning, Rastko shook his antlers, frustrated. It wasn't exactly his place to interfere, but something just wasn't right.
"Shouldn't someone do something?" he muttered under his breath to Natalya. She seemed the most friendly to him of the lot.

Slowly, not taking her eyes off of him, Havrani lets her nose run along the exposed curve of his neck. Her heart is fluttering, terrified, but she fears what would happen if she were to retreat. "Oh, Mikhael.. I want to help you, you know that." her voice is hoarse and raw, and she is shaking so hard she can barely stand. "But I don't know how..."
Aniol glanced at the antlered male. "That is what we are trying for. Do you have any ideas? Sudden movements would likely set him off, as would our interfering and trying to remove her from him." his eyes narrowed with worry, and he took note of Natalya's obvious fear. "I have no recollection in my mind of an event similar to this, so I am without a plan."

The Trance male sighed at her touch, eyes still watching her carefully, though his body seems relaxed. Except for the fine shaking, of course. "I need you," he whined softly. "How can I get better when you've left me? I want to get better, but you always run away." Jealousy flashes through his mind as he suddenly remembers where she was when he first arrived. "You love someone else?" he asked suddenly, eyes widening as something dark flashes through them. "You left me for another gryvern?"
Natalya tossed her head gently. "I'm a Healer; my Earth abilities aren't even very strong."
"I could probably set one or both on fire," Mahu puts in wryly. "But I fail to see how that would be useful." The Fire gives a low sigh. "At least they both seem calm right now. . . . maybe if we ask Havrani to let Natalya have a look at him?"
The Earth female stiffened, red-brown eyes going wide in fright, though she nodded her head in agreement. "Then while they're separated. . . I don't know, something." Mahu looked to Aniol. "Wot do you suggest? You know her, and this situation, better than the rest of us."
