She wandered the Orchard, hoping for a sight of a dear friend made in trying times. The Earth Gryvern flicked the long feathers along her back subconsciously, as reddish-brown eyes scanned for some sign of others of her kind. She was generally shy and soft-spoken. She wasn't a combat Healer, she was a nurturing Healer, and she liked it that way. She was the colours of the wild and sometimes blended with the scenery without really meaning to. The vibrant and verdant greens of the Orchard seemed to only enhance her neutral tones. crest.vagueinsanity.net/natalya.html---------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Elsewhere, another dragon had entered the Orchard, a pale grey in colour, but highlighted literally by a repeating rainbow along his belly and spine. Darker red eyes skimmed the trees with interest; he had heard the gryvern speak of this place but had never visited himself. It was rather pretty, nothing like the space stations he usually visited. With a flick of his double-finned tail, he went exploring. www.geocities.com/seraaches/tereinlaez.html

There was already atleast one dragon here in the orchard, it had been here for quiet awhile and he was beginning to wonder where all the pretty creatures had gone off to... Since it was so devoid of life right now... it was so boring with no one to flirt around with, or to play match maker...Tsumes were the best, but it was so hard to find them he had just given up and come out here to mess around. With very little luck thus far.
Then there the sudden realization that something up ahead was moving, he couldn't make it out at first but decided it wouldn't hurt to go and see what it was... After all, what was the worst that could happen? "Hello?" His voice was soft, and rather silky but still managed to sound confident.
When he got closer he realized it was a gryvern! He had seen a couple of those, some even lived near his home... Too bad they were far too smart to wander into his territory after being warned by the others. But this one! It was in neutral ground, he could play with it as much as he wanted... And he had been waiting awhile for a companion.

Natalya started even at the soft sound, and she turned towards the sound. It took a moment before she could pick him out of the surroundings, but her eyes narrowed when she had. He looked like one of the tsume Mozer had warned them about. . . but she couldn't remember which warning it was. "Oh. . . hallo," she offered back, ears flattening slightly in concern as she tried to pick through the long list of warnings and notices the gryvern had now. There was. . . something. . .

Geil continued to walk in a confident, but non threatening manner towards the femme gryvern, then he saw her ears flatten slightly... She was concerned about him? Now that wouldn't do at all... But something he knew very well was that it was pretty easy to use a little mental nudge in the right direction to make people ignore such things...
Because obviously he wasn't threatening, he didn't have any spikes or long claws like the evil kinds had infact his claws seemed carefully filed, nor did he have any scars or black fur... His eyes, while pink were still far from red. And the markings? Even gryvern could be born with something like that. So why should he be treated differently? He obviously wasn't one of those that mozer had warned her about... And look how nicely he was smiling.
"I was beginning to think I was alone out here..." He looked at her intently, continuing to smile pleasantly... He looked genuinely happy that he had found someone out here, even his eyes showed it. "Were you umm... Looking for someone?" He asked hesitantly, because he didn't really wanna say that the chances of finding someone in particular out here were rather slim with how big it was... Although he was still gently prodding at her mind with his mental powers, it was very unlikely she would notice... Since he was very good at it.

Natalya began to slowly relax, though she didn't quite realize it was happening. She was too embarrassed to say that she was, in fact, looking for someone, though he seemed nice enough. Her mind gave one final push of warning, then the concerns melted away. This tsume couldn't be one of those evil ones Mozer had told them to avoid. "Well, I'm not. . really looking for someone." She flushed slightly. "I was hoping someone might be out here, but he doesn't seem to be." She gave a small sigh. It was really just a long shot either way. "Wot are you doing out in the woods?" she asked politely.

Geil smiled a bit wider when he saw her relax, and ended up relaxing a little bit himself, he always worried that he'd accidentally get someone that was very psychic or something and then have to end up explaining what he was doing... Even though nothing like that had ever happened before.
"Ah, well... I wouldn't give up just yet... The orchard is a big place." he gave a slight shrug when she said he didn't seem to be here then sighed a little bit himself when she asked what he was doing out here, it was a slightly mournful sigh. "I was getting really lonely at my home realm... And came out here to try and make some friends." His voice sounded slightly hopeful, while continuing with the silky tone.... Then he seemed to remember something, he always forgot his manners didn't he? "Oh, I'm Geil." He said before making a rather elegant bow to her, lowering his head nearly to the ground in the process.

Natalya gave a pleased smile at his bow. "My name is Natalya. It is a pleasure to meet you." The Orchard -was- a very large place from the looks of it and her eyes went to scan the woods surrounding them again with pleasure. She loved being so close to the earth and nature. It made her feel at home in this strange new world.
"It seems like pure luck that we've run into each other here," she murmured softly. "I've only been out here once before and that was. . . " she trailed off, eyes going distant. "That wasn't a very good experience. "

This gryvern seemed very... Nice, alot nicer than many of those he encountered around his home area... She was also very pretty, this opinion was slightly biased because of how her colour was rather similar to his brown as well... But even without that he thought she was rather pretty.
As he rose from his bow he gave a slight nod, "Surely a pleasure, Natalya." He paused, that name was elegant although not unduelly complicated... He liked it. "I have come out here on a few occasions, I can usually get out of bad situations though..." he spoke casually, just to keep up the conversation... While his thoughts were elsewhere, namely with Natalya.
He decided maybe to look at her physical side a bit more though, Her emotions were interesting enough but it wouldn't do to completely forget about her appearance, the first things he noticed were the small spots, and then the feathers... "Ah, err... I heard that gryvern can fly... Can you really? Even without wings?" he seemed rather curious about this and infact was, since if they could fly there was a possibility that someday he might learn how to... It would also just be interesting to see it.

The words 'bad situations' echoed in her head and she winced very slightly before gladly moving on from such thoughts. "Well, some gryvern can fly. We all have the capability to fly, but not all of us have had training." She gave a hesitant smile, uncertain if he'd like the whole history of flight or just the answer to his question. "I have not yet found the Tactician to learn flight; until Mozer opened the way to Hawkings Crest, I've not had cause to need to know." She tilted her head thoughtfully. It was worth considering now, however.
"Can't all tsume fly?" the question came out innocently; she had assumed they all could, but Geil didn't have any obvious wings, despite the fact that most of the tsume she had seen seemed to have an unusually large number of wings. Strange.

He nodded, well atleast that answered his question. It would have been neat to see it but maybe he could convince someone around his home to demonstrate... But there were other matters right now and it was best not to let the mind wander too much. "You're society seems much more structured than ours... Especially since we don't have one" he sorta mumbled the last bit but then paused when she asked her own question. It stirred a small chuckle from him then he shook his head.
"No, unfortunately only those with wings can fly, with a few very rare exceptions." He said this with a slightly sad tone, but then grinned and stretched a little bit "I could try flapping my arms really hard but I don't think It'd work." He said with his grin widening, Amazingly enough his grin was actually... Nice, it wasn't like the sharp tooth filled death trap that most tsumes from his realm had.

Natalya gave a small laugh at his words. "I don't think it would either." She was glad she had found someone so non-threatening to talk to; it was a nice surprise after that last time. "Can you not learn at all, though? There's no. . . " she tried to think of how to word it. "No natural ability that can be tapped into?"
Her tail twisted briefly around her and shechecked over the feather of her tail without realizing she did so. A quick brush with her tongue and it was fine and clean again.

Geil shook his head at the thought of what it'd look like with him flapping his arms around like wings, not something he would actually attempt but the thought of it was amusing. "I think some of the magic types can do something like that... But the rest of us, without wings are out of luck when it comes to flying." He didn't seem upset or anything talking about it, He thought flying would be neat, but he had gotten along without it thus far and it was simple to continue doing so.
When she twisted her tail around herself he leaned to the side alittle bit so that he got a better look at the feather, for the brief moment that it was closer to him, Then he stopped leaning to the side and smiled. "You're feathers are umm.. Pretty." He said with a slightly shy tone to his voice, it wasn't natural but he thought that she would probably not like a dominating voice as much as a more passive one... He wondered how far he could get without using his powers again.

Natalya flushed and hid her tail behind her backlegs before she realized she'd done so. "Oh, thank you." She was obviously embarrassed, but she couldn't help but preen just a little as well. She thought her feathers were rather pretty herself, so it was easier to take compliments about them. Nevertheless, she didn't like to have the focus on herself, so she swiftly tried to change the subject.
"So tsume don't have a set society? How do you know wot you're supposed to do?" she turneda curious gaze to him.

It was probably impossible to truely embarrass Geil, but he could fake any emotion just as well, or even better than most people had it arise in themselve naturally... Well, except he was never that good with anger, it just wasn't his thing. But at the moment his face just became a tad bit pinker and he looked around a little bit, bringing back his focus when she changed the subject.
"We pretty much just try to survive, and make the best out of what we have... Sometimes groups are formed but I haven't seen one that works well." He said this with a small sigh, oh how much easier it'd be to meet new people if there was some sort of group... And there would always be somewhere garunteed to be populated by somewhat sane people. But nooo they couldn't do something like that.
Then he grinned and shook his head "I'm jealous, Not only can you fly but you also get a working community." He said sarcasticly and walked a little bit closer, although still maintaining the normal speaking distance between them. Didn't want to intrude on her personal space.
Even if that wouldn't be so bad... Since it seemed like he was nice person, strangely attractive too, even though he wasn't as colourful or decorated as most gryvern he had a simple charm... And such a nice demeanor, and Voice.

Natalya tilted her head, "But tsume are amazing creatures. We've always been jealous of you." She flushed again, trying to brush away the strange thoughts in her head. "There are so many mutations and element and colour possibilities. We don't have that. That's part of why Mozer introduced the outbreeding program." She flushed again, and looked away. This should not be embarrassing her this much. "We're trying to get some new blood mixed with ours to make it stronger." She decided now was the time to just stop talking for a bit.
