Geil was slightly surprised to hear that the gryvern were jealous of them? Mutations while there were alot of good ones that the tsumes got... They obviously did not know about the number of bad ones that were out there too, Not that he carried any of the bad ones. As far as he knew anyways. "I guess we each have our own qualities... I'm envious of your stability, and you like the unpredictability of us." he spoke calmly, it greatly amused him that they both seemed to like the qualities of the other better... Then she mentioned the outbreeding program?
"I had heard that some tsume and gryvern had become... uh... Smitten with eachother..." he paused and blushed a little bit more, maybe he shouldn't ask about this program just yet, it was something that he couldn't help but wonder about. "Umm... I'm sorry, I didn't mean to embarrass you..." He said that as he realized just how flushed she had become.
He let up a little bit with the suggestions, but kept them going... Just at a much more gradual pace, he hadn't expected her to be so easily, scratch that, he hadn't expected her to be so quickly effected, but it was hard to tell sometimes.

Natalya gave another small laugh, pulling her tail around so she could stare at it instead. "No, it's alright. I don't really know wot's wrong with me today." She abruptly realized that could have offended him. "Not that there's anything wrong with you being yourself. I mean. . . you seem very nice. And I like your coat. But. . well. . . it's more than. . uhm." She stopped her rambling abruptly, standing still and quiet for a moment. "I hope I haven't offended you, Geil. I don't seem to be quite myself right now. Perhaps I should go."
She had really stuck all four of her feet in her mouth that time and it would serve her right if Geil was hurt. Though she really hoped he wasn't. He seemed a lot calmer than she. At least, right then.

He chuckled a little bit as she attempted to explain herself but kept putting her foot in her mouth, so to speak. it was amusing to see her ramble on and keep twisting up the words as she attempted to speak them, but it wasn't really the type of amusement he prefered... He waited for her to stop on her own though before talking, otherwise he might end up doing the same as her.
"Uhm... thanks." He said at the comment about his coat, and how he seemed very nice... But then when she went on in saying that she hoped that she hadn't offended him he grinned and shook his head. "...I don't think you said anything offensive, but uhm..." He paused and looked down at his hands, playing with the grass slightly before looking back in her general direction. "Please don't go... I really enjoy your company." he said in a slightly saddened voice, it would be a pity if she left so soon, especially since he had just begun to get to know her.
Of course it would be mean to leave him so quickly... He had been looking for someone to talk to for a long time and was very lonely. Who knows how long it would be before he found someone to talk to again? And besides... His company was rather... Nice.[/b]

Natalya fought briefly within herself. She was so embarrassed, but Geil was being very nice about it all and he did seem a little lonely. And she was a little lonely herself. As wide and far as the Orchard went, wot were the chances another creature would come along anytime soon?
"Alright," she said softly. "I don't really want to go anyway." She gave him a shy smile. "I'll try not to say anything else like that, though." She blushed slightly again.

Geil smiled and let out a tiny sigh of relief, He actually wasn't lying when he said he was lonely, and if she had left before he had convinced her to do otherwise it would have been impossible for him to make her come back. Or nearly impossible.
"All I noticed were a few compliments." He said sort of quietly, he honestly didn't know what she had thought would offend him. but he didn't really want to dwell on it, it obviously made her uncomfortable. "So... What is it that you do? I'm guessing by what you said that your society gives out jobs of some sort..." He was alittle unsure of how gryvern stuff worked exactly but thought he had at least a vague idea of it... Anyways they were due for a subject change.

"Our society doesn't give out jobs," Natalya corrected easily, glad that their subject had shifted again. "We choose our Castes to wot we feel best suited for. I am a Healer." There was obvious pride in her voice. "I specialize in physical wounds and I'm one of the best there is." Despite her shy demeanour, this was one area where she shone and knew she did. She was very proud of her work and pleased with how well she did. "Is there anything specific you do?" she asked with a smile, more than willing to share the good feelings of purpose well accomplished.

He tilted his head at her and then nodded, it made sense... It would probably not work so well if you were forced to do one thing whether or not you wanted to, even if it meant that people suited more for something else could choose other jobs... Or castes, whatever they were called. When she said she was a healer he nodded, it wasn't that surprising... She gave off the feeling of one that'd choose such a career.
"A healer?" he smiled slightly then glanced over his shoulder for a moment then looked back at her "Got a cure for bruises? I... umm... Fell down a hill earlier." He seemed a little embarrassed about it but not enough to tell her the truth of how he got them... Although the discolouration was hidden by his fur.
Then she asked what He Did. Ah, a much more tender subject, how could he tell her without arousing suspicioun? he could lie easy enough but... He didn't especially like lying It was better to just get people to accept the truth... Even if it meant altering their emotions. "I err..." He looked down at his hands/feet again trying to buy a little time to figure out what to say. "I don't have any flashy abilities..." He sighed then looked back up to her, his eyes sparkling ever so slightly. "I can read emotions a bit... But I guess everyone can do that." He said with a sigh.
Well, he wasn't lying, he just left out that he can utterly alter them and tell down to the letter how someone is feeling even without talking to them... So long as they aren't resistant or something.

"Ah, you're like an Empath?" she asked even as she moved to his side. One feather slid towards him, touching him very lightly on the side. She waited long enough to be sure he didn't mind the soft touch, then she concentrated her attention inward. In the range of injuries she had healed, this truly wasn't much of anything, but they had to be pretty uncomfortable when he moved just right.
Geil might feel a trace of light-headedness, but, with a minor injury, it wouldn't take much of his strength to heal it. She stepped back when finished, just a few seconds later, and smiled at the tsume again. She loved being able to help others.

He nodded, well he was somewhat like an empath... "Yeah, something like that." He didn't seem especially keen on talking about his abilities, either because he didn't think they were very good... Or maybe he wasn't telling her all of them, but of course he wouldn't lie to her... He was far too nice to do that.
"Hehe that tickles!" He said with a few chuckles as she pulled the feather back away from him. After the healing was finished he turned his head one way, then the other... Then flexed his shoulders, "Hmm... You'r good at this, I guess I know who I should go to when I get cuts from now on." He didn't really notice the light headedness because it was pretty minor... Then he looked back at her more head on and made a half bow. "Thanks." He did judge the distance just right (or perhaps he did it on purpose) but as he rose back up from the bow, he brushed against her slightly... His coat was coarse but somewhat softer than you'd expect from looking at him.
His fur felt really nice... He probably made sure to take good care of it, who knew that something like him could be so polite, and nice, he was definitely someone to be remembered as a friend and yet... Maybe something more. It was like fate had transpired for them to meet today... [/b]

Natalya didn't press, not wanting to make Geil feel uncomfortable, though she was curious about empaths. Sera was one, but the woman was generally so busy it was hard to catch her.
"Thank you," she answered his words. "And you're very welcome." She flushed at her thoughts again, but strove to keep it from showing. After all, she wasn't entirely certain she believed in fate and she didn't need some unseen forces to help her make friends. . . . Okay, maybe she did a little. She gave a small mental laugh, pushing the thoughts away again.
"I'm more than willing to be available as a Healer. . . as long as it's not something serious." There was that trace of sadness again, blowing briefly across her features. She hoped nothing like their Home Reality would happen here. She hated wards and all the bloodshed.

Geil smiled widely when she seemed pleased at the compliments, sure he was a sin and all that... But he was doing what he did best after all, maybe not as strongly as some might but he had plenty of time to work with so why rush it?
"Good to know," he paused and shook his head, before fixing his hair even though he seemed to have just messed it up on purpose.... Maybe there was something buzzing near his ear or something. "Hmm, I'm not sure about you... But it feels kind of hot here for me, would you care for a small stroll to the trees, or a stream perhaps?" He didn't seem especially bothered by the heat, although some people hid it better than others... He probably just wanted to keep their interaction lively.

Natalya didn't notice the heat until he mentioned it, and, even then it was generally worse back in the Home Reality. However, she always loved to be near water; the novelty still hadn't worn off and she hoped it never would. "Let's find a stream then," she put in lightly. "It's always nicer near water."
She waited for him to take the lead; he seemed to know the Orchard far better than she did.

He looks around, then begins to head somewhat in the direction he had come from. "I always thought so too." he said with a glance over at her, waiting for a moment so she could walk next to him... It was always harder to talk to someone over your shoulder. especially if you had to watch where you were walking at the same time.
As he was looking at her he noticed that her ears were rather... Curly, had he heard something about that before? "Your ears look very beautiful, are they like that naturally?" He asked curiously, he was pretty sure that someone said that they cut their ears or some such thing... He understood washing regularly and even using soap or other such things but cutting up bits of yourself for aesthetics seemed kind of wrong to him... Ok, well maybe he didn't mind so long as it was done to someone else.

Natalya moved up to walk beside him, movements easy and graceful. She tilted her head slightly at his comment, flushing only slightly this time.
"Yes, they are natural," she responded, slightly bemused. This was the first time she'd ever been asked that, though her ears were a little unusual anyway. The outside of her inner menbrane was unprotected; something rarely seen in the gryvern since it was so easy to tear. "Does something about them look unnatural?" she made sure to keep the teasing very clear in her voice.

He hadn't thought that far ahead... Although it did seem odd that the membrane was exposed as it was, it didn't look as tough as most of the wing or fins he saw. But still very neat. "I didn't know something so beautiful could be found in nature." He replied in a equally teasing manner and then nudged her with his shoulder lightly. "Nah, I had just heard that gryvern cut them or something... And thought maybe you had removed a lower spine or some such thing." he explained with a wide smile.
"The most extreme alterations I do is cut my hair occasionally... I don't think I could stand to do something permanent." he said as he looked back up ahead trying to remember how far away the river was that they were heading towards, and which section was the better part to hang around at.
