"Baaaaaahhhaaaa!" Pallo screamed (or rather um...bleated) jumping just a few feet in the air before tumbling off his bed. "C-c-crig-crig-gets!" He panted rising to his hands and knees. "Annyo! You gave me a heart attack!" He stared at her hard. "By any chance are you related to Paula Mari?"
Paula Mari a rather mischievous (in her younger years) she-faun Pallo and his brother grew up with and likewise were both marked victims of her pranks.

Annyo giggled at Pallo's reaction. "No I dont think so..." she thought out loud. She never did really know her family, but knew there was a Paula some where in there. "Well....I dont know. Mabey" she added. "I'm sorry. I was bored and no body else is up...."

Pallo made a face. “You’re lucky I’m a gentleman of fortune, other wise I would of...naww I’ll do it anyway!”
Within a blink of an eye the young faun was on his feet and with a quick movement of his hand Pallo began to playfully (but very gently) tweak Annyo’s right ear. “Cheeky!” He laughed. “How come you girls can be so mischievous and always get away with it? ”
“Cause a girl got that cute girly charm which no man can resist. Least that’s what I’m told.” Said Joth as he stood in front of the door and flicking his thumb outside he added. “When you’re done goofing off you gotta see what’s hanging outside. Looks like somebody bagged a horrid last night!”

"Kyaaah!" Annyo squealed as Pallo tweaked her ear. Then, when Joth appeared at the doorway, she stopped trying to reach for her friend's ear and stared. "Oh yeah...I've seen that. She mounted it on the wall. Pretty weird..." The she-faun thought out loud. The girl's stub of a tail wagged a bit, as she shivered.

Seeing Annyo's distraught he gave her a reassuring pat on the shoulder. "Strange as it is, it's one less horrid out there."
Curiosity perked up in the faun though morbid as it was, save for a few pictures in books and a few brief grimaces; Pallo had never seen a horrid up close before. Well Even when the fell beasts attacked his village years ago and were wiped out, noone had allowed him or any other young faunlings to see the slain horrids. Of course none of them would dare go near the creatures they were all terrified of them and Pallo was too full of grief at the time to even care.
Now with this opportunity, Pallo followed Joth outside.
"Good lore!" He gasped staring into the four dead eyes of the horrid.
The thief nodded and he commented sarcastically. "Yeah, quite the looker!"
Pallo smiled slightly at the boy's jest but he couldn't help but wonder about one thing.
"Who killed the beast?" He said rubbing his chin. "Surly not the Healer?"
Joth shook his head. "She'd have to be some shield's maiden to do that. And made of the stuff harder then iron."

"Most healers are that way." Mutter Joth as a worried look came across his face. If Healer could wack a horrid unscazed, imagined what would happen to the Mouse if she found out about him.
What could Healer do to him (if the others didn't try anything first). The cutting off of his right hand or putting bloodsucking leeches on his face?
As long as Healer dosen't see my face on the Wanted Posters. He thought. If she does...I just as well hope that she ,like me, can't read.
The thief slowling backed away and looked around nervously.
Pallo on the other hand was in more of a better mood. "Aye, by Tulan, with a maiden like that I don't think I've have to fear for this village when we leave."

"I agree. And travelling with a group like us, you mustn't worry for your home village when we leave." Annyo grinned. She then turned to Joth. "You okay?" she asked, scooting over to check his eyes. "Your lookin a little frightend."

"...Right." Annyo complied. The she-faun the bustled off to the room where Lee-Ann and Nado were. "Good morning you two" she grinned. The female elf awoke first, with a wide streatch and a yawn. "Mornin Annyo"

While Annyo went to wake the elves Joth leaned over to Pallo's ear and whispered. "Cute, isn't she." The thief's breath (which was a bit foul) cased Pallo's ear to wiggle slightly as the faun's eyes went rather dreamy as he spoke softly.
"Yes..."
Then realizing what he had just said Pallo flushed and turned away. "But uhh...all maidens are like that!" He stammered rubbing his head feeling like a first class heel.
Seeing Pallo's reacting the thief raised an amused eyebrow and smiled. This was going to be fun! "Aww, come goat-boy stop beating around the bush...that goaty girly got your heart."
Joth nudged the sheepish faun and winked. "Now are you capable of wooing her?"
"..." Was Pallo's only answer.

"Good morning Lee. How did you sleep?" Annyo asked.
"Pretty good..." the she-elf mumbled before nudging Nado roughly in the ribs.
"Oomff....wha was that for?" he groaned, lifting himself to face the two. "Oh....Awake time allready?" he sighed. He moved his long hair from his face and behind his pointed ear. "Wheres the squirts?" he asked curiously.
"Other room" Annyo shrugged.

Joth crossed his arms and tapped his boot on the floor. "Well are you?" He said unable to stand the Pallo's dull silance.
The young faun let out a sigh and spoke in a low voice. "Does it really matter? That I can suddenly sweep a woman off her hooves and whisper sweet nothingness in her ears from dusk till dawn?"
A soft smile appeared on the young faun's face and there was a far off look in his eyes as he remembered something that someone told him a long time ago.
"Love comes softly...Slow and gentle like a meadow's stream so give it time and soon becomes stronger then a roaring river. Such a thing should never be rushed; since it will end as quickly at it started."

Just then, Healer walked in with a bag of flowers, a smile on her face. "Good mornin boys. How did you sleep?" she asked, her accent ringing in the air.
Anny looked at the two elves. "Well then? Are you two gonna get up and come out of the bedroom or what?" she asked.

The faun slightly bowed his head in respect to the Healer. “I slept well.” He answered while his companion Joth gave the woman a rather queer look. “Uhh...Nice garden decoration you got out there... Severed Horrid heads make quite the ‘attraction’ these days!”
