Joth stumbled off of his horse. "It looks so easy..." He grumbled glaring coldly at his steed which eyed him for a second then let out a snort.

Grunting the thief quickly rush over to the princess's side. "What sort of trouble is in?"

"well...she disapeared. i was right there, then a screech, then no andrean." she shruged. "i tryed to find her but no matter how long i looked i could not.." she turned and looked in the forest. "i feel as if it is almost my fault she went missing. i should kept a better eye on her." she hung her head.

[Belladandy]

From her perch up in a high treebranch a gentle purr emanated from the raven. She flew down and landed on the princess's shoulder. "Nay, do not blame yourself...There was nothing you could of done to of prevented this."
Joth nodded his head. "The birdy's right. Don't go beat'en your head against a wall (least not yet) all we need to do now is finding her again."
He paused. "Though where exactally do we look is going to be a proplem." Cocking his head he looked at the raven for a moment then said. "Neyna, you're a birdbrain got any ideas?"

"Pok! Ney-en-a!" She corrected him. "And I have no ideas but I sence magic...dark magic." She shivered. Dark magic made her feel sick as it did with all good creatures but more so for Neyena.

"yes..neyena your right.." she turned looking into the forest.

[Belladandy]

There was a long momentarily silence till the Mouse finally spoke up. "What I don't understand is this. Why would somebody or something want with andrean a thief?”He ran his hand through his hair (Which had been cleaned of the bloodsuckers thanks to the healer). "Thieves, petty thieves that is aren’t exactly the most popular of folk and as much as she means to us I don't think any evil magician would have anything to do with her."

Neyena snapped her beak. "Perhaps it she was taken by mistake. Perhaps the princess was the intended target."

“She’d better not be.” Joth said with a strong hint of worry creeping into his voice. “I may be a thief but I do know a thing or two about ‘kidnaping’ if that the case. If the who or whoevers find that they got the wrong girl, it’s either use her as bait or....”

He stopped right there never finishing the sentence. Not even daring to say it aloud to the others.
Or kill her.

kaylin looked worried. "you have a point!" she turned to look at him. "dark magic...andreans missing.." she paused. "do you think my ghostly sister is behind this?" they all felt as is kaylin was right. "just great!" the wolf spoke up with a sigh.

[Belladandy]

"Curr I can think of no other person then your sister." The raven let out a sigh (or what was close to being a sigh). "And the Mouse is right, Andrean is going to be used as bait."

"And we're sposed to fall right into her trap." Joth added coldly and crossing his arms he said. "But what I want to know is -and no offence- how on earth did your sister end up becoming a evil undead-dead-dispirited elf?"

I may not be an expert on your long eared race but one thing I do know that elves don’t have a tendency to do random acts of super demonic cruelty."

[kaylin unlogged in]

"its a long story..." kaylin started. "she was fooled into turning dark. tricked, for what she thought was right. the darkness gave her a great power, for a short time. but she wanted more power. she wanted the power to last forever, for her to be the ruler of the whole world! but the more she got power the more evil took her soul! when she tryed to kill me, so she could take my place as princess, my- my father..." she choked a bit tears running down her face. "my father tryed to protect me... he tryed to to get her to change... but she peirced a dagger in his heart..... she killed my father! i could not take it anymore! i tryed to stop her, but she took my fathers power..... i-I-..." she gritted her teeth a chlinched a fist. "i killed her! i could not let her kill my brother, or my baby sister, or my mother.......and i was so mad, at her killing my father... i turned on her.. i thought i could change her but it did not work..." kaylin's eyes held deep sorow. "once she was dead, evil turned her into a dark spirit, with more power...." tears still went down her face. "i am sorry... but..... nothing.." she sat down on a rock next to the river looking into its glassey surface. "but she will use my best friend, to get me... and.... murder me for my power.. and that night when i killed her, i got a bit of her power.. ad it to mine, and i have more speical power then ever! not meaning to brag...but my sister wants that power." she returned her gaze to the group. "its ok." the black unicorn nudged her.

[Belladandy]

Neyena made a low purring sound while Joth put a hand on the elf's shoulder and for one good moment all the cockyness, all the cheer, all the 'theif' left him.

"If it helps..." He said softly. "I know how you feel. I've lost my parents too. My father died before I got a chance to know him and my mother was taken by fever."
His grip on Kaylin's shoulder tightened and his eyes went glossy with tears. "What happened to you was horrible but count yourself lucky. You still got a family and I might add that friends count as family members too."

she smiled a bit as shelooked at joth, but her gaze returned to the river. "thank you joth." she said softly. " but what am i going to do? if i try to help her..i will be killed...and what i worry about that you, andrean and my whole family will perish by her.." tears still ste=reamed down her face

[Belladandy]

Having a 'hancth' of what Joth would do next Neyena quickly departed from the elf's shoulder, landing on a nearby branch. She smiled, inwardly seeing that her 'hantch' was right.

"Now none of that..." Said Joth pulling out a hankerkeif and handing it to the princess he added with a smile. "We're not givening up yet. There's six of us pitted up against one disgruntled spirit. I say the odds are for us and..." The old familiar cocky grin grew back on his face.

"And there's nobody on this world can outfox the Mouse!

"true." she grined slightly."but.....i still dont have a good feeling." she sighed looking deep into the forest. "well, we beter get a move on." the black unicorn got up. "and besides kaylin, with joth, me, kili'o, and your brother...dont forget the furry critter." she looked at the little creature. "i dont think any spirit would do us harm". after a while they left to find andrean.

For a while little was said as they traveled even for someone chatty as Joth kept quite.

Neyena -likewise- had taken to the air keeping an sharp eye out for any hopeful signs of their companion or thier enemy. Only on one occiasion did she fly down landing on Kaylin's shoulder and whispered in her ear.

"I see no trace of Andrean or the Spirit..." The raven let out a yawn then continued. "If no luck comes and the day draws to an end I will leave for a little while but not for too long or too far off."

"right neyena. maybe their in the ruins of the old castle." she shrugged. after a while they came upon a clearing. "lets rest here. we can regain our energy and head back out." kaylins brother sat down. "to find a ghostie, you gotta think like a ghostie!" the little winged wolf hoped around. "we should look for the spook at night! spooks love night." he said wagging his tail. "you have a point." the black unicorn yawned

The moment they stoped for a rest, Neyena took off disapearing over the crumbled ruins.

The thief suddenly let out a laugh. "Ha! I remember me and my friend, Numbskull, used to dress like evil corpses at night and hide in the shadows. We waited till somebody came down the road and then just as they were right in front of us we'd jump out howling and wailing scaring the living daylights out of 'em. We did this till some wet blanket laid a hard one on my chin."

Joth sighed pushing a few stray hairs from his face making his way over to Kaylin's brother eyeing the larger elf with curiosity. Wonder if he knows about me? Come to think of it I don't even know his name. Well it's better late then never.
"I'm Joth. " He said. "Joth Bowen, sometimes called the Mouse."
